Probably 2 of the worst managed garbage scenes in all of my years of reviewing trash are right here in downtown Pittsburgh Let's review! **this floating dumpster happened in Pittsburgh! 1) Exchange Way There are dozens of 2-yard dumpsters lining this alley And if a single car or delivery van is in the way when one of the 4 different waste trucks comes to service...missed pickup! It smells...bad. Lots of restaurants use this alley. Your chicken wings & asian tofu leftovers are here. Rotting while you wait for that missed pickup recovery. The rats love it. The bums love it. For some reason the tenants/owner don't want it to change. I tried! 2) Delray Street This is right off of the infamous Market Square. Similar to exchange way...it's always messy, smelly, foul. Plenty of restaurants use this area too. And again, the road is almost always blocked due to a delivery truck. Solutions are possible but again the tenants/owners seem to accept the status quo! *Photo in the replies
Things like this compound. To make matters worse, I have looked at some of the electrical services is those areas and it isn’t pretty either. Everyone fighting over a few inches.
