Windsor Castle Accessibility. Obviously a old AF Castle isn't particularly accessible. That said every effort had been made to plan and get around. 👏 Website included accessibility sections, including maps and specific disability sessions. This made planning much easier. 🫴 When I asked about disability lines I was also offered disability discounted ticket, without expectation of validation. 🙌 Ability to skip lines to get into main attractions, again without validation. Just trusting we knew what we needed. 🛗 Throughout the main buildings ushers would offer us accessible paths, and lifts where steps were coming up. They were polite and proactive. By the end I was exhausted, walking 2x my usual daily steps. It was a familiar, pre disability exhaustion of exploring not the exhaustion of repeating and defending basic asks. Wonderful to see improvements and human approaches to accessibly in tourism.
