Helping experts become storytellers | Thought partner to craft speeches, IP, messaging | Podcast: How Stories Happen | Membership: CreatorKitchen.com
We should all be so lucky (or should I say PRACTICED) to have a back-pocket story like this one. On the very 1st episode of How Stories Happen, author and keynote speaker Andrew Davis dissects a signature story that's been with him for more than 10 years. He can tell it anywhere he shows up, in any medium, customizing it for the audience needs + specific insight he needs to share. The thing is, what he initially found interesting about it was NOT what the audience found interesting. That was the tough reality Andrew had to embrace after stints working for news legend Charles Kuralt and the Jim Henson Company, once he became a professional storyteller himself, writing books, giving speeches, hosting series, and touring the globe to encourage business builders everywhere to re-think important things. Every episode of How Stories Happen, an expert, entrepreneur, creator, or communicator of some kind dissects their signature story. Find Episode 1 in your preferred podcast player: "The only way to figure out a story is to tell it."
