🌍 Transformative Journeys: Witnessing Innovation and Ambition Rehan School, Karachi Last week, I had the incredible opportunity to visit the Rehan School on the outskirts of Karachi, Pakistan. This was not just a journey across miles, but a deep dive into a hub of youthful ambition and innovation under challenging circumstances. 🚀 Empowerment through Education and Technology The students at Rehan School, coming from low-resource areas, are not just learning about technology; they're mastering it to build futures they've dared to dream of. What struck me the most was their focus on sustainability and the use of AI tools not just for academic projects but to forge real-world businesses aimed at global markets. 💡 Big Dreams in the Making One of their goals? To build businesses worth over a million dollars before graduation. It sounds ambitious, but their unrelenting conviction makes you a believer. Despite limited resources, these students are leveraging their skills to create services and products for a global audience, turning challenges into stepping stones. 🌐 A Call to Support and Collaborate Their journey is a powerful reminder of how education can transform lives, especially when combined with the right tools and opportunities. Let's think about how we can support such initiatives, whether through mentorship, investment, or technology partnerships. If the students reach out to interview you, say "YES!" As I left the school, I carried with me not just fond memories but a renewed belief in the power of determination and vision. These students are not waiting for change; they are driving it. 🔗 #EducationForAll #Sustainability #AI #YouthEmpowerment #Innovation#Youarethesolution Rehan Allahwala Manahil Remotejobwali Saad Allahwala

What does Merry Christmas mean? We hope you Enjoy Christmas? Enjoy what about Christmas? Presumably it's something to do with the birth of Jesus? What is there to enjoy today? What if the secret to the enjoyment of life was revealed today? Christmas day is a celebration of Evolutionary Emergence. Something appearing from nothing - as described by the Virgin Birth. How can understanding evolutionary emergence (as demonstrated by Jesus on his birthday) help people to enjoy this (to have a Merry Christmas) and EVERY (to live happily ever after) other day? The realisation that the exact same process of emergence may occur within the human mind (through Learning what is loved) - to give rise to the 'Virgin Birth' in context of an individual's quality. To become an unprecedented better (hence 'Virgin Birth') than we were just momentarily a priori. The gift of Christmas is to teach us that the ENTIRE basis to reality is in Emergence. Emergence may occur within an abstraction layer (for instance in the development of mind in wisdom or development of mind in art as we get better in both) - or it can happen, essentially similarly - in the transition between abstaction layers (species) - as we see today! albeit a few thousand years away.
Wishing a Merry Christmas to all our Cambridge students, staff and alumni, and everyone celebrating around the world 🎄

Education - celebrate the gift of imagination and use it wisely 'Creativity, the process of having original ideas which have value often come from the interaction of different disciplinary ways of seeing things'. Superb humorous talk by Sir Ken Robinson outlining the 'one-sided' limitations of the public education system and revisiting the status of arts in personal development. Let's rethink the fundamentals of education.

🎃🔍This Halloween, the Smith School of Business at Queen's University PhD-MSc and Research Team took a break from the academic grind to embrace our inner Waldos! Stripes, canes, and glasses, because sometimes, graduate student life feels a lot like searching for Waldo in a crowd of ideas, papers, and deadlines. PhD-MSc students are familiar with the “Where’s Waldo” moments in research: sifting through stacks of literature, chasing elusive data, and finding that one paper that ties everything together. 📚🔎 Like finding Waldo, it takes patience, persistence, and a keen eye for detail! So, here’s to navigating this scholarly maze; whether you're publishing, presenting, or still piecing together research questions. Just remember, even if you feel hidden among the theories and methodologies, you’re making strides (and maybe even having a bit of fun in stripes 😉). #HappyHalloween #PhDLife #WheresWaldo #PhDStudentLife #KeepSearching #StripesAndSmiles #SmithPhD #SmithMSc #graduatestudentlife #SmithResearch Laurence Ashworth Ryan Hill Rebecca Lariviere Nenagh Hathaway

Hello friends family and acquaintances today is NATIONAL CLASSY DAY - January 17! On National Classy Day, we celebrate those who are graced with the ability to live their lives with class, passion, and who are driven to share it with others. On January 17th, honor those class acts and commemorate the birth of one of the most legendary comedians ever to walk the Earth. Classy people draw others to them. They have a grace and knack for bringing light into a room with humor, beauty, or inspiration. For example, American comedian, Betty White, was graced with a seemingly unlimited ability to make us laugh. Her humor transcended age, gender, and race, and her vibrant energy was contagious. Knowing her or someone like her is an unforgettable experience that lives far beyond a single moment. "Everybody needs a passion. That's what keeps life interesting. If you live without passion, you can go through life without leaving any footprints." Betty White in her book If You Ask Me (And Of Course You Won't) We are not all graced with the same qualities as Betty White's immaculate timing or delightful humility. However, we are all given traits that make us unique. We can exercise those abilities to the benefit of everyone around us. Other iconic women who shared their finer qualities with the world include: Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis Barbara Pierce Bush Sacagawea Diana Princess of Wales Julia Child Eleanor Roosevelt Rosa Parks Nelly Bly Bessie Coleman Those endearing traits that leave an indelible mark on our memories fall within a narrow spectrum of terms. Words like kindness, generosity, humility, knowledge, and steadfastness come to mind. Being classy magnifies these qualities and makes the person even more unforgettable. While we can't always name the specific trait that charms us, we often understand when we've been in its presence. That's why National Classy Day encourages us to recognize those talents and abilities in others. #NationalClassyDay #dallasharristips
