"The most important thing in communication is hearing what isn't said." -Peter Drucker Sooooo true!!!! Imagine sitting at the nail salon soaking your toes and in walks another human chatting it up on their phone. Cut to 20 minutes later and this same person is complaining they are not being attended to. Customer beckons Technician....here we go. Customer: How much longer do I have to wait? I have to be somewhere. Nail Technician: You normally like to soak before we get started. Customer: You said I could come at 4pm, I have groceries in the car and need to leave by 5:30!!!! I do not have enough time for a full session. Nail Technician: You did not tell me you had to leave by a certain time. BOOM. Customer fault, full stop... OR Nail Tech fault by not asking if she needed to leave by a certain time. You could argue one is right and one is wrong. What is wrong, is asking for a service then complaining to the provider of the service to bend to your constraints without communicating all of your needs. This was a classic example of poor communication + expectations. #communicationmatters

🏀 March Madness: It's All About the Team (Just Like Your Smile) 😁 While NCAA Men's Basketball gets intense, let's shift gears. It's not all buzzer-beaters and dreams of victory (although those are fun too!). This tourney teaches us a thing or two about teamwork. Picture this: five players on the court, each with their own abilities, bench players contributing where they can, all coming together for a shot at lifting the trophy and cutting down the nets. Communication, trust, and a supportive vibe? That's the winning formula. And guess what? That teamwork vibe? It's like magic in full arch dentistry. Dentists, Treatment Coordinators, Lead Call Agents, Dental Assistants, Front Desk Staff, lab techs – all have their roles, but the end game's the same: giving patients that million-dollar smile. Here's how we channel that March Madness spirit in full arch dentistry: 🔄 Team huddles: Brainstorming sessions, case discussions – we're all in this together. 🙌 Mutual respect: Shoutout to each team member's skills and what they bring to the table. 💬 Open lines: Communication is king, whether it's a patient update or sharing ideas. This March Madness, let's celebrate teamwork! Whether you're rooting for your college fave, that Cinderella #11 NC State, or perfecting a patient's grin, remember: victories are sweeter when we're in it together. #dentistry #fullarchfun #teamwork #marchmadness #oralhealth 🦷👍

Ensuring Safety Behind the Scenes: Engineers in the Hospital Theater 🛠️ As engineers, our commitment to safety extends beyond the confines of our usual work environments. Even when working in theaters, where surgery takes place, safety protocols remain paramount. Recently, We had the opportunity to work on an operating theater light, an integral part of any operating room. Before stepping into the room, our team diligently gears up in personal protective equipment (PPE). From safety masks to gloves, every precaution is taken to ensure a safe working environment. In a recent video, we captured this process, showcasing how engineers prioritize safety even in unconventional settings. The footage highlights our adherence to safety protocols as we work in the theater, demonstrating the importance of PPEs in our line of work. Beyond simply following guidelines, our dedication to safety reflects our respect for the craft and the people behind it. By prioritizing safety, we not only protect ourselves but also contribute to the seamless execution of every performance and ensure a sterile environment at the operating room. Stay connected for more safety behind the scenes clips. Disclaimer: Unauthorized recording, photography, or videography within operating theater rooms is strictly prohibited. Such activities can compromise patient & facility privacy, violate medical ethics, and potentially disrupt medical procedures. The video below is intended solely for educational purposes, specifically to demonstrate the appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) worn in controlled medical environments.
