Embarking on this journey with a steadfast commitment to sustainable development has been transformative. Our united efforts in bridging the gap for solar accessibility across diverse communities goes beyond aligning with our principles—it's a profound reflection of our deepest convictions for #equity and #inclusion in every stride we make towards a sustainable future. Our deliberate stride toward making renewable energy accessible for all, irrespective of one’s #socioeconomic standing, is a testament to our shared belief - progress that isn’t #equitable isn’t true progress at all. This vision of harmonizing environmental responsibility with #social #justice outlines the blueprint of the #inclusive #future we all strive for. I am inspired every day by the potential and impact of our mission. I invite you—our partners, friends, and community—to stand with us and take action. Together, we can turn the tide towards a future that values our planet and every individual on it equally. #ClimateJustice #RenewableEnergyForAll #GrowthOpps #SolarForAll #EquitableTransition #CleanEnergyFuture
Many thanks to all who attended Growth For All: A fireside chat with our President and CEO Michael Jeans. The convening was held in Washington, D.C. hosted by Growth Opportunity Partners, Inc. with support from our partners at Raben. We were humbled by those in attendance and the continued support from around the globe of our approach, modes, and work. Growth Opportunity Partners, Inc. is honored to lead the Industrial Heartland Solar Coalition, which consists of 31 communities across 8 states. Our coalition stands as a beacon for unity, equity, and progress, in a collective pursuit of a sustainable future. We continue to tirelessly advocate for a just and equitable energy transition, which is one where the under-represented are not excluded. Every community deserves equal access to a clean environment and there is a role for all of us to play. Growth Opportunity Partners, Inc. and the entire Industrial Heartland Solar Coalition will do our part to extend Solar For All who wish to participate! #Empowerment #SolarForAll #CommunityUnity #SocialJustice #SustainabilityStrength #ClimateJustice #EPA #GGRF

Solar veteran. Problem solver. Servant leader. Process creator. Trainer. Water lover. Sustainable business supporter. Here to make the world a better place.
We can all do better to improve representation in the solar industry. Join me in taking the #nomoremanels pledge to help support the movement to increase diversity on panels and conference speaker line-ups. If you are a conference organizer, think about who you are inviting to speak. Evaluate the composition of each of your panels. Make every effort to diversify. If you are a speaker, consider not accepting a speaking engagement unless the panel you are speaking on is a diverse panel or consider nominating a woman on your team to fill a speaker role. If you are an attendee, consider voicing your concerns with conference organizers if their line-ups lack diversity. Man, woman or otherwise, we all have a role to play in this. Let’s see if we can change the face of #solar and #renewables together, shall we?

Balanced panels of men and women are more informative & present more interesting perspectives. Representation matters. Renewables & science in general benefits more when multiple viewpoints have a voice.

This #NationalReconciliationWeek it has been important ‘Now More Than Ever’ to continue the path to reconciliation. At Tellus, we believe the path to progress is through genuine engagement, respectful conversations and building trust and commitment with our indigenous partners. The foundations of our success at Sandy Ridge in establishing Australia’s first and only Class V hazardous waste facility capable of disposing of low-level radioactive waste, are built on our native title agreement with the Marlinyu-Ghoorlie people of the Kalgoorlie-Coolgardie region. Since being established in 2020, tens of thousands of tonnes of hazardous waste, much of it from the mining and energy sector, have been safely disposed in one of the safest places on earth. Tellus General Manager Business Development, Jade Ritchie, has led by example in our business: “Now More Than Ever, we commit to holding space for reflection, listening, learning and most importantly, acting. Our indigenous land use partnership for our Chandler deep geological repository in the Northern Territory, reached late last year, aimed to follow this approach. “By listening, we were able to better understand the perspectives of the Traditional Owners of Titjikala: their community’s aspirations, their hopes for sustainable employment outcomes and economic development for future generations, and their desire to play their part in ‘cleaning up country’.” Knowledge held by traditional custodians about the land and water informed both the location of the site and its design, sensitive to traditional cultural practices. Learning from tens of thousands of years of knowledge of the land, working towards shared goals and creating genuine partnerships for reconciliation and a prosperous future is only possible through open dialogue and deep listening. We're committed to continuing to walk this path. #NRW2024 #hazardouswaste #sociallicence #cleanenergytransition

On International Women's Day, we want to invite our male friends to think about the actions that they, as individuals, can take to "inspire inclusion" (this year's IWD theme). It's not just about conference organizers. You too can take the #nomoremanelspledge. When you're invited to speak on a conference panel or webinar, ask the question "Who else is invited to speak?" If you find that it is all men, politely explain to the organizer that you have taken the pledge to ensure that all panels include diverse representation. This simple act can make a BIG impact. Who's in?!?
This International Women’s Day, join us and millions worldwide in striving for an inclusive world where ALL voices are heard loud and clear. #InspireInclusion The theme for this year’s #IWD is ‘Inspire Inclusion’, and at WRISE, we commit to the #NoMoreManelsPledge, and urge you to be part of the movement. It’s time to take action, and we’re here to provide you with resources to make a change. Take the #NoMoreManelsPledge with us, & explore our Speakers Bureau program now: https://lnkd.in/gHUbbVEY .....
