Helping PEO & Staffing Firms 𝗚𝗿𝗼𝘄 & 𝗜𝗻𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗲 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗳𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 by Optimizing their Risk and Insurance Programs
Traffic….Atlanta I guess it’s good to be the best at something!!! As I’m heading to the airport this morning I can’t help but wonder…. 1. Where are all these people going?! 2. Why did they choose this route?! 3. Is it the fastest? 4. Is it all they know? 5. Have they tried other routes? Just a couple of the things my mind wonders off to…. Now the weird part…. I also start to correlate this to my clients and prospects….and how they got to where they are with their business and then their broker partner…. I told ya I’m weird! 1. Where are they going with their business? 2. Why did they choose that broker and that path? 3. Do they even have a plan? 4. Was it just quick and easy so they chose them? 5. Is it all they know? Do they know the options out there? 6. Did they try other routes but weren’t comfortable? Couldn’t trust Waze over Google Maps? We all have our reasons for doing what we do… What’s yours? Wanna try something new? Want a different path? Give us a call….those that have I can promise are happy! ⚠️ The busy Cone Zone season has arrived. Slow down and pay attention! ⚠️ Every day, tens of thousands of roadside workers in British Columbia are depending on drivers like you, to drive carefully through a Cone Zone. When driving through a roadside work zone, you have a legal responsibility to drive safely. Failure to do so can result in penalties and fines. As a driver here’s what you can do to keep these roadside workers safe: 1. Slow down before reaching a Cone Zone and obey the posted speed limit. 2. When entering a roadside work zone, pay attention and avoid distractions. Leave your phone alone. 3. Pay attention to temporary road signs, traffic cones and directions given by a traffic control person. It’s the law. 4. Plan ahead. Listen to traffic reports before and during your drive, and where possible, adjust your route to avoid work zones. 5. When driving near work vehicles with flashing amber, red or blue lights, always slow down and move over. If the posted speed limit is greater than 80 km/h, slow to 70km/h. If the posted speed is less than 80 km/h, slow to 40 km/h. In both situations, move over if it’s safe to do so. The price to be paid for unsafe driving in a Cone Zone can be high. Tickets to drivers can range from $196 for disobeying a flag person to $368 for using an electronic device. The economic and social costs resulting from loss of life or serious injury are even greater. One plus side of the UK government’s ‘plan for drivers’ is the revisiting of guidance on lane rentals to make more of the road network eligible to use them. Lane rentals would be used in place of a temporary traffic regulation order (which are usually paid for via a one off payment and put in place for 18 months). They are designed to create an incentive for completing work faster, and the pilots seem to show they work. Would be great to hear if I’m missing something about this approach or if anyone has concerns about the use of lane rentals. Anything that can speed up the disruption caused by roadworks is a positive for me. Speaking purely as a pedestrian who is often walking with a small child - the roadworks near us seem to cause drivers to do unusual things, including frequently driving through nearby zebra crossings with toddlers waiting to cross. Roads clear of clutter and disruptions are better for all road users, not just drivers. I respectfully disagree with Marvin Rees’ comment on roadworks being a reason not to build a tram (referenced in the article). Bristol needs a mass transit system and it’s impossible not to feel frustrated at the situation Bristol’s two mayors (city & region) have created, which now means we’re making next to no progress on this. #bristol #transport #roadworks https://lnkd.in/eNUD8_2d

What's the first thing that gets in your way as a real estate owner/operator? Compliance. When you’re managing a job, ensuring that every person coming on-site doesn’t have a criminal background is crucial. However, the current technology for this is inefficient, ineffective, and slows down the entire process of turning over inventory, whether it's apartments, hotel rooms, or office space. The first choke point is the initial ID check—and it’s broken. The tech in this area is terrible. At Rex Tech, we're tackling the issue of ID checks head on. This need is driven by urgency: you have units to turn over or construction to complete, and delays cost money. The contractors are on the dime: they're costing money and they want to get the jobs done too. Good contractors have nothing to hide. They want to be checked quickly and make sure you know that they’re not a criminal. And you definitely want to know it too. ID check-ins are critical, yet they're currently broken. That's why we're dedicated to fixing them at Rex Tech. #realestate #PropertyManagement #compliance #proptech #innovation #construction #propertyowners

Why Businesses Might Look For Private Property Towing Businesses often encounter unauthorized vehicles occupying their parking spaces, which can create significant inconvenience for customers and employees alike. By seeking private property towing services, businesses can maintain order and ensure that parking areas are used appropriately. This practice is highly effective in deterring unauthorized parking and ensuring that spaces are available for those who need them. When implemented correctly, private property towing can significantly enhance the overall customer experience by ensuring that parking is readily accessible and not misused by unauthorized vehicles. Private property towing also helps businesses maintain a professional appearance by removing abandoned or illegally parked vehicles that can detract from the property's aesthetic appeal. With CSS Transportation, businesses in Smyrna can rely on prompt and efficient towing services to manage their parking areas effectively. This ensures that parking spaces are kept available for customers and employees, promoting a well-organized and professional environment. For businesses in need of reliable private property towing services in Smyrna, CSS Transportation offers the expertise and prompt response necessary to keep your parking areas orderly and efficient. #PrivatePropertyTowing

Here is an interesting column published in today’s Times Colonist newspaper that evaluates traffic safety strategies: John Ducker: “Changing speed limits confusing for drivers” (https://lnkd.in/gTQr_d7y). It summarizes a World Bank report, “Guide for Road Safety Interventions: Evidence of What Works and What Does Not Work” (https://lnkd.in/gsixVxQ6 ) which rates the effectiveness of various traffic safety strategies. It indicates that public transit improvements that reduce automobile travel are among the most effective traffic safety strategies. This conclusion is based on a World Resources Institute report, “Saving lives with Sustainable Transport Traffic safety impacts of sustainable transport policies,” (https://lnkd.in/gdKdaSEN), which I am pleased to see references my report, “Safer than You Think! Revising the Transit Safety Narrative” (www.vtpi.org/safer.pdf ). I am flattered! This supports the Better Island Transit (https://lnkd.in/gqWpRtsH) campaign to provide frequent and affordable bus service on Island highways (www.vtpi.org/F&Abus.pdf). Unfortunately, the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure tends to overlook public transit safety benefits and so spends far more money on highway projects than on multimodal solutions. The Ministry currently budgets $164 million to add a median barrier on 1.5 kilometers of the highway through Goldstream Park. First Nations and environmentalists oppose this project because it threatens the Goldstream River, and are protesting there every Tuesday morning. Provincial funds are far better spent providing frequent and affordable bus service, which improves safety on the entire 65-kilometer highway not just 1.5 kilometers, and provides many additional benefits. Unfortunately, Ducker assumes that public transit improvements are complex and costly, stating, “The obvious downside is the enormous cost of public transport. Infrastructure costs have gone through the ceiling and large scale projects today are essentially beyond the grasp of municipalities without large scale federal or provincial subsidy.” He couldn’t be more wrong! Yes, rail systems are costly but more frequent and affordable bus service is quick and easy to implement, and extremely cost effective, considering all impacts including traffic safety, congestion reductions, road and parking facility savings, consumer savings, improved mobility for non-drivers, emission reductions and reduced habitat disruption. What do you think? How can we convince decisions-makers to recognize bus service improvements as a traffic safety strategy? For more information see my report, "A New Traffic Safety Paradigm" (www.vtpi.org/ntsp.pdf ).
