Faith, friendship, entrepreneurship, love, gratitude, and support are just some of the words that describe my fantastic morning with Esi Kagale Agyeman Gillo. CEO of DIFFvelopment. 🔥 Fuel Your Story! 🔥 The Black Rock Coffee Bar in Plano, TX, was the perfect place for our first in-person meeting to discuss how we further our missions and support each other along the way. One of our shared goals is helping others succeed despite the challenges we all face in life. I encourage you to look at the great things DIFFvelopment is accomplishing and consider how you can support this great organization. The mission: "Through our mission of re-empowering the global Black community through historically centered re-education that empowers aspiring Black visionaries to develop their world differently, we give ambitious young Black people the wake-up call they need to put their love for their family and community into transformative action that disrupts negative historical patterns and creates sustainable solutions to longstanding problems." How are you fueling your story and the stories of those around you today? It takes time and effort to connect with the people in our lives that matter. I'm sure at least one person quickly comes to mind. 👉 Make that call 👉 Make that connection 👉 Make a difference 🔥 Fuel a story Life is challenging, but we are better and braver together. We are #justbeginning

Father and son, discussing the beauty of blackness, entrepreneurship, and the powerful bond between them. This moment was truly defining for Speak With Purpose, featuring one of our scholars, Amari, and his father, Chris. Together, they shared their insights with King 5 News for Black History Month, highlighting the resilience of Black men and the profound connections they share with their sons. They also delved into the significance of black entrepreneurship, a topic central to Amari's original speech, emphasizing the need for more representation in this field. I am eagerly anticipating the airing of this short segment on King 5 News!

Taking a moment during Black History Month to reflect on leadership and culture at Pilea. Our approach is rooted in acknowledging diverse perspectives and fostering a culture of respect and support. In the spirit of Radical Candor, we challenge directly and care personally, recognizing that our differences make us stronger. We hope, our leadership values allow every member of our team and coaches community to show up as our whole selves in the workplace. We are by no means doing this perfectly, but building this company and our Pilea Coach Training Network has given us a new lens through which to see our privilege, biases and the ways in which we continue to reinforce white supremacist work culture. Some very tangible things we are doing. 💫Reworking our values to ensure they are aligned and inclusive. 📚Hosting regular 'It starts with me' antiracism study groups for white folks using the SURJ curriculum. 👯Hosting a specific consultation group in our Coach Training Network for coaches of color to support each other in their businesses and client work. We vow to keep learning, listening and actively seeking diverse perspectives as we build. Black lives matter at work too and if you’re not looking at the ways in which your company continues to perpetuate status quo culture, you’re not doing the work. One of our favorite values in action at Pilea, ‘growing is messy’ AND it’s sister value ‘we support others in their growth and messiness’ feel particularly poignant in this work. We’re here for the work. Will you join us? #integrativeleadership #blackhistorymonth #joinpilea

Every soul is in a different stage of evolution. The evolutionary gap between you and your loved ones can be thousands or millions of years in soul development. When you are different, people don't know where to fit you anymore. Your existence transcends their preconceived ideas. When you no longer play the same game of fear and drama like you were conditioned to and you operate on an absolute authentic frequency... you outgrow their energy! A lot of the time those of us who don't fit in (and never really have) or those seen as 'outcasts,' have a much bigger purpose on earth, to create a NEW world! 🔮✨ The outcasts are... ⚡The trend setters ⚡The ones who were never meant to follow the crowd ⚡The ones who see the world differently "Those who are able to see beyond the shadows and lies of their culture will never be understood, let alone believed by the masses!" ~ Plato They will never really be like the "majority." They're here as the system busters, to break the cycle! 🚀💫😊 ♻️ Share if you feel this was helpful #energyshift #transformation #mentalhealth #wellbeing #selfdevelopment #selfgrowth #selfimprovement #selflove #elevation #growthmindset #motivation #healing #higherconsciousness #mindsetmatters #empowerment #freedom #confidence #positivevibes #selfcare #innerpeace #strength #youareenough #resilience #boundaries #priorities #inspiration #healingjourney

The black sheep usually doesn't follow the crowd because every once in a while, the crowd is literally going the wrong way in mass. It takes a black sheep to stand out and say, 'Hey, I think we're headed off a cliff here!' They may be labeled as outcasts or rebels, but in reality, they're the ones who are brave enough to challenge the status quo and forge their own path. Let's celebrate the black sheep in our lives - the ones who inspire us to think differently, to question the norms, and to embrace our individuality. ✨️ -Nuwani Samaranayaka- #celebrateyou #blacksheep #opentoconnect
