A big thank you to our incredible emcee Anja Corley, University of Nevada-Las Vegas cheerleaders, Vegas Golden Knights Vegas Vivas and Chance, and Las Vegas Raiders Raider Rusher for bringing the hype and keeping the energy high at our Brightline West groundbreaking event last week. Now to see if the results live up to the hype. Make it happen Brightline West Trains! You guys and California High-Speed Rail Authority are bringing true high speed rail to the US, something long overdue here, with the first trains set to begin running by the end of this decade.
If you can get revenue trains running by the LA Olympics, that would be incredible, and hopefully that gives a major boost in support and funding to California HSR to accelerate their timeline to get their first revenue trains running sooner, as well as begin construction on their extensions to SF and LA by 2030.
As a retired railroader, intimately associated with the basic track infrastructure, I am curious as to how you will get rail, ties, and ballast into the center divider of I 15 with no direct rail connection to your C1 neighbor, UPRR. The most logical connection point seems to be at Erie siding, miles south of your start point at I 15 and hwy 160.
There is Brightline Station coming to Stuart Florida. But is this a good thing for Stuart? Or will the Brightline Station cause more problems than it solves? What are the pros and cons of having a Train Station in an already very congested part of downtown Stuart Florida? We will explore these questions in today's video. What do you think? Add your answer in the comments section below.

Henry Ford famously stated, "Failure is simply the opportunity to begin again, this time more intelligently." Here's a fun fact about me: I'm an avid roller coaster enthusiast. The exhilaration of speed, towering heights, and the challenge of pushing human ingenuity to its limits for the sheer joy of it has always captivated me. Consider the Top Thrill Dragster at Cedar Point Amusement Park, which, when it debuted in 2003, held the title of the world's tallest and fastest roller coaster. It was groundbreaking, introducing an innovative hydraulic launch system. However, as time passed, it became notorious for its maintenance challenges and was even deemed a hazard to guests, ultimately costing the park more than it was worth. Fast forward to 2024, and it has been transformed into the world’s tallest and fastest triple-launch coaster.
You might be wondering why I'm sharing this. The point is that in our rapidly evolving digital era, continuous innovation is imperative. We need to adapt and change in response to shifts in economics, scientific discoveries, and new exploratory frontiers, among other factors. These changes impact the speed and manner in which we must innovate or reinvent ourselves and our methods.
So, when your current workflows begin to hinder your profitability, affect your output, or pose risks to you or your clients, it's crucial to reflect and ask, "How can we improve?" Don't wait for your clients to demand change; proactively seek opportunities to add value and stay ahead of the curve. Aim to be the outlier.

ICYMI: "The program also includes a generous incentive of up to $9,000 for a new EV lease, or up to $2,500 off a used EV lease. The maximum incentive is available for leases on a three-year term, or longer.
People earning 300% or below of the federal poverty level are eligible for the program’s incentives. That works out to earnings of less than $45,180 annually for a single person or less than $93,600 for a family of four. The program will run through June 2025 or until funds run out."

Today was a beautiful day in the PNW. Luckily, I spent most of it outdoors helping to pull together a media event for the launch of Washington's new EV incentive programs.
Today is our last day of the Beam Queen HQ Retreat. It's been so great to get away, try some new activities and also brainstorm the future of Beam Queen.
I think our most impactful activity we did was post-it note vision boards.
I bought small foam boards and different colored post-it notes. We made rows with corresponding colors that answered the questions below...
- Pink- GOAL: This is our "Dream big" goal -
- Green - WHY: Why accomplishing this goal will help the overall vision of Beam Queen
- Blue - HOW: How are we going to get this goal accomplished?
- Yellow - WHEN: What is our time frame for realistically accomplishing this goal?
- Orange- WHO: Which team members are involved and crucial for accomplishing this goal?
It was a great way for us to think big and really imagine what we can create in 1, 4, and 8 years from now! I highly recommend trying this activity with your team!
