A vital component of a well-developed research project is the dissemination of its findings. It ensures that any valuable insights and discoveries from the project can reach the right audience, encouraging innovation and driving progress in the field under study. Evolv and the research partners in our SBRI Healthcare - funded stroke telerehabilitation trial have been very active in ensuring the transfer of knowledge of our project through academic publications, presentations, social media, as well as relevant stroke-related events. One of the most important global events for the sharing of knowledge and advances in research and clinical care of stroke patients is the European Stroke Organisation Conference (ESOC), now taking place in Basel, Switzerland from 15–17 May. ESOC is the perfect showcase to present our EvolvRehab – MoveWell project and we are very fortunate that Dr Philip McBride, our project manager from the University of Exeter, is there to present a poster on the results of the initial n=5 stage. There’s nobody better to represent our project’s aims and early findings than Dr McBride, who has worked very closely with us and the other project stakeholders, especially the stroke survivors and their carers who trialled EvolvRehab at home. The opportunity to share our project’s early research findings at ESOC will definitely boost its visibility and increase its potential for real-world impact, which is Evolv’s biggest goal. #stroke #telerehabilitation #exergaming #neurorehabilitation

Congratulations to Dr. Lauren Ranard, Dr. Yanping C., Dr. Genghua Yi, Dr. Diane Ordanes, Torsten Vahl, Dr. Paolo Denti, Giovanni Righini, Mitchell McBride, John Butziger, Sean Forde for their recent publication in EuroIntervention: Procedural performance and healing response of a novel low-profile transseptal transcatheter mitral valve replacement system. This study assessed the acute and chronic performance of the novel Saturn TMVR system in healthy preclinical models and demonstrated that 1) transseptal delivery of this bioprosthesis is feasible and reproducible and 2) that the valve has excellent haemodynamics with favourable biocompatibility over a 150-day follow-up period in an animal model. The full article is accessible for Eurointervention subscribers here: https://lnkd.in/dtMBG3Wg Saturn is a novel, investigational TMVR system with a 29 French Valve Delivery System and 2 valve sizes (28 and 31mm) designed to anchor through a subannular ring at the base of the left ventricle providing mechanical continuity between the bioprosthesis and the annular segments. The Saturn device aims to minimize patient exclusion due to unsupported annulus size/shape and left ventricle size, and to minimize the risks of valve migration, paravalvular leaks, LVOT obstruction and Systolic Anterior Motion. (Saturn TMVR System is an investigational device only and not for sale in any geography.) #Mitral #TMVR #Saturn #Innovation. Learn more at www.InnovHeart.com

Today, we celebrate #WorldHealthDay, and the efforts of the CLINSPECT-M consortium to integrate mass spectrometry-based #proteomics into systems medicine by developing of standardized start-to-finish, fit-for-purpose workflows for clinical specimens. Testing different #samplepreparation and MS protocols on two clinically relevant sample matrices (plasma and cerebrospinal fluid), the six study partners conducted two studies, implementing the most promising protocols from the first round into the second. It was a great example of how the expert-driven exchange of knowledge and best practices can result in direct practical improvements that benefit the scientific community and, ultimately, patients. And it was especially gratifying to see our iST-BCT and SP3-iST kits do so well! Read more about the study and its results: https://ow.ly/wfVw50R3o5k
