"I got a promotion from engineer to senior engineer, a plethora of job opportunities (multiple offers), and multiple raises. " Amanda, P.Eng. Mom of two. How nice it is to have so many offers and to be able to decline some! This is us. A glimpse into Pros&Babes and one of our advanced MoMBA pods (our regular in-person retreats) where we map our lives by design. The results? Accelerated promotions. Support and solutions in the face of grief and anxiety. Mentorship to deal with management challenges. Pathways to stronger marriages. Here’s what our engineer and leader clients are saying about their results: The tangible, noticeable results I'm most proud of are the decreased clutter in my house and the increased playtime spent with my kids and my husband as well as my promotion at work Increasing support systems to free up time to focus on what’s most important Getting a promotion 6 months after coming back from my second mat leave Implementing support systems I've established myself as a competent and capable leader at work. I'm no longer afraid to claim that title. Mindset to be open to asking for help from my community of friends, family and support systems I am less overwhelmed and over scheduled, and instead am building more rest and downtime into my schedule, which helps me and my family thrive and stay healthy. I am investing time in my growth and mindset, so that I can show up in all areas of my life as the healthiest and version of myself. Actual honest conversation with my manager on my skills, how I can best contribute, and what my professional goals are. My workplace supports can't help me if they aren't even aware of where I'm trying to go, and I've been much more successful and confident expressing those ambitions since joining the program. I started my own company. I have scheduled my year in advance and the mental load relief from the main framework being done is substantial. Are you our next success story? Get employer funding today! Deadline: July 17. ($100 application fee waived) Tinyurl.com/mombaapply

Many of the people that LT Support place into positions come to us through referral from friends or colleagues. We recognise that we would not have the workers we have without Word of Mouth and do something a bit different over here with regards to celebrating both the referrer and referee. Just this week we have placed a referral into the part time post they were after after just one week (slight delay due to the DBS!) but what makes this placement so special is that the person who referred her also was a referral themselves! Find out for yourself why our workers talk about us by reading our Google Reviews and Testimonials on our website. Who knows you could be our next placement and getting involved in our rewards scheme for referrals and loyalty bonuses! #referrals #rewards #referralscheme #referafriend #LTRewards #LTSupport

PhD Senior Software Engineer | Algorithms, Distributed Systems, System Design, Computer Vision | Follow to become a better engineer
As a software engineer, your interests may shift over time. And you may get tired of the work you're doing now. I've been through this phase more than once. But quitting your company is not always the solution. First, I've never been able to find a job that's perfect for me. Second, I've never quit a job without already having something better lined up. What I always did was save time for what interested me and try out new things. Leaving the job puts pressure on you to find another one, so taking time out of your current job is the best option for me. Every day, I set aside some time to really get into something that interests me but isn't directly connected to my job. If you do this consistently, you can steer your career in the direction that interests you the most.

While I agree with you on persistence and always keeping your eye on the prize - 1% return rate is unacceptable. People work because they need to make a living, going months on end without income is not sustainable after a certain point. In my personal perspective, the current selection process for job interviews is deeply flawed. It's disheartening to see numerous qualified individuals applying for countless job opportunities, only to be overlooked due to rigid automated systems. Many exceptional candidates, including myself, are left in the shadows as companies rely on resume scanning algorithms rather than engaging with potential talents. This approach hinders the discovery of individuals with unwavering loyalty, integrity, and exceptional business acumen. Ultimately, both employers and top-notch candidates are missing out on valuable connections and opportunities. It's time for a shift towards a more inclusive and human-centric hiring process that values true potential over automated filters.
99 % of job applications are rejected. But 1 % gets you a job. 99 % of connection requests leads nowhere. But 1 % can change your life. There's endless opportunities out there, the challenge is that you won't see results instantly. Never quit! Keep working hard and believing that good things can happen to you, until you win.

I Help Therapists diversify their Income so they don't burnout 💜 Host of Free From Burnout Podcast I Workshop Facilitator
It all started with applying for a job and being REJECTED ❌️ Yesterday, I had the pleasure of delivering a mentoring session as part of Hatch Enterprise UK, LaunchPad Programme with an incredible small business owner launching a much-needed support community for caregivers with SEND children. Over the years of working with Hatch on there programmes as a Mentor/Coach and Guest workshopper I've come to realise that these 3 things. 💜 1. Relationships are crucial. Fun fact: I first knew Hatch from being rejected by a job I applied for 😄. But because my CV was diverse, there was a collaborating opportunity that Joanna Hamer saw that started this blossoming relationship. 3 years later, I'm still partnering with Hatch on programmes and supporting new business owners (which I LOVE so much!) launch and grow their business with wellbeing and business strategy support. 💜 2. Never stop being a student. Although, I enter the conversation with the intention of supporting the client. They also teach me so much about their industries, their culture, their visions. It is absolutely fascinating to me how incredible people are and what drives their business forward. I always walk away, so enlightened. 💜 3. Everyone has the same problem. I pretty much start each call saying "in this call you can bring anything wellbeing or business related and you'll leave with your next steps to your strategy." and they all start of with their specific story but although dressed up different, they all struggle with. 🤯 how do I improve my marketing (and i've said this to at least 5 people over the last week) 🌎 COMMUNITY!!! -> focus on your people, find your people first. Simplify and build relationships. It's worked for me and so many other businesses! and i'm so grateful for Hatch Enterprise UK for this beautiful relationship i've built with the team over the years and the people i've been able to help and who have supported me 🙏🏽. Before I knew it, this has become one of my additional income streams that helps me stay afloat 🧘🏽♀️. and it all started with applying for a job and being REJECTED!😅 It's funny how relationships can start in the unexpected way and become the best ones. Have you had an experience like this before too?

Possible long post ahead and possible rant too: On May 31st, my contract officially ended. However, I still have two full weeks at my current job and a project to complete every morning next week. This year, 2024, marks my 18th year in this amazing working world. Can I tell you something from the bottom of my heart? I am tired, and I am "only" 34. I am tired of constantly settling for less. I am tired of always trying to stay at the top of my game for just a few extra cents. I am tired of the lack of future prospects. After 18 years, reclaiming my space, my time, and my passions is frowned upon because stopping and taking your time are seen as unacceptable. I am tired of always justifying myself to my employer, to people older than me, and to people younger than me because I haven't been able to save enough for a car or a house, to have a stable job and relationship, or to succeed in every aspect of life, when what takes most of your time is your job but there aren't possibilities to progress in anyway. In Italian, we have a saying: "Chi è causa del suo male, pianga se stesso," which translates to, "He who makes his bed must lie in it." I believe in this, and maybe I blame myself too much for some choices that could have been made differently. I blame myself for not handling my finances better and for many other things. That said, I am not looking for anyone's understanding or empathy. I know this might not be the right platform for this rant, but I have been holding onto these feelings for too long, and they are contaminating the most innocent part of my heart. If you’ve read this far, thank you for your patience. I still hope to find a job that I can keep for years to come, one that will put me on the right path. Meanwhile, I'll strive to improve myself, to be open-minded, and to be receptive to the opportunities around me. So, please continue sharing your experiences, successes, and struggles so that I can find inspiration and motivation to move forward.
