The workplace is changing, so are the talent demands! From what was a demand side heavy time to a supply side heavy situation, times have changed for the good. At TimesPro we have embraced the #Hybrid working mode and it has helped us build a great talent pool from diverse backgrounds, across the nation. It is a stereotype to limit flexibility to one generation, I believe that everyone would love flexibility as that enhances productivity and focus. The commute is a killer for many, and building a balance can go a long way in creating a strong #EVP for organisations. We will learn and continue to evolve and redefine the structures and ways of working. Ratan Naval Tata has left an indelible mark on the world. Though I have never had the privilege of meeting him in person, his life and work have profoundly inspired me. Like Eklavya, I have admired RNT from afar, a beacon of innovation, compassion, and business acumen. Years ago, I wrote to him, hoping to invite him to speak at an event. It was a long shot, but I believed in his leadership and insights. While life had other plans, the mere thought of reaching out to him was a big win. RNT's passing is a profound loss, not just for his family and the Tata Group, but for the world at large. He was a visionary, a philanthropist, and a true gentleman whose legacy will continue to inspire generations to come. I remember learning about the Nano car, a revolutionary product that made affordable transportation accessible to Indians. His ability to think outside the box and challenge the status quo was truly inspiring. Beyond his business acumen, RNT's love for dogs and actions taken were reflection of his empathy and kindness. Being a dog lover, I was amazed with his work. RNT's set a high standard for corporate responsibility and social impact. His legacy will serve as a guiding light for future generations of business leaders. In his passing, we have lost a true giant. His memory will live on through his contributions to society and his unwavering commitment to making the world a better place. Let us celebrate the man who rose above the Titans to be an anmol Ratan for India. Rest in Peace Sir!

In the face of adversity, it is easy to feel overwhelmed, to doubt our strength, and often succumb to pressures. It is precisely in these moments that our true character is revealed. Standing up and standing tall, despite challenges, is a testament to our resilience, determination, and unwavering belief in ourselves. #StayStrong! #BrillianTips #LeaderSlip #BrillianClicks #RightNotPopular #HR

Recently, during a discussion a comment was passed about availability and accessibility, but without further context, a premature judgment was formed. This made me go back in time when Mumbai faced the worst attacks across the city. As I was returning home from my first year engineering classes with my drafter on my shoulders, a group of policemen surrounded me as I alighted the train. They suspected the drafter to be a machine g u n... while I wanted to laugh, the situation was grim and I had to patiently explain the use after slowly opening and removing the drafter from its cover. They assumed I was carrying something that I should not be roaming around with. Reflecting on both these incidents made me realised that it is essential to gather comprehensive data before making decisions or forming opinions. This helps us ensure that our actions are aligned with the true needs and goals of the situation. Perceptions are dangerous and it could lead to wrong outcomes due to bias and intent. It is crucial to avoid making assumptions based on limited or worse no information. This principle extends beyond professional contexts. In our personal lives, too, it is important to avoid jumping to conclusions. By seeking out multiple perspectives and gathering relevant information, we need to build a better understanding to avoid any misunderstanding. I could very well summarise these experiences in what my manager had said years ago "when you don't know what you don't know, you think you know". So next time you are tempted to jump to conclusion, take a pause, get more details... #HR #Perception #BrillianClicks #BeingRational #BrillianTips

"Ab tak 56!" That’s the title that came to my mind when I realized we had 11 members for an event of 2 hours. 5 gentlemen and 6 women. The probable question in everyones mind – “kya bolnege, itne saare log hai for the same topic” That my dear friends was another level of crisis, like the topic we had at hand “HR’s Role in Crisis Management and Business Continuity” and when 11 people are put to test to bring out the best in them yet give value we never fail. Shilpa Pai came with an idea of a panel with a difference, since some of us had thoughts and presentations, we would set context with that and then move on to getting some thoughts from the rest. Nupur Phatak told us about 5 people we meet,Deepa Shetty who set the stage on fire with amazing case stories on how organisations and teams have managed crisis. Yours truly went up next and shared what behaviours and traits are needed to be Firefighters and emerge successful. Veena DSilva concluded with an engaging share on how Heroes have HR in them and vice versa. The engaging sharing chaired by Shilpa began with Abhishek Chatterjee sharing on pandemic response as a crisis story, Atul Tiwari speaking about leadership action, Rani Mahey on need to build succession and Anupama Pillai on how to be bridging the talent gap in a warlike situation drawing examples from her current organisation. Gaurav Soni shared his valuable thoughts based on experience in crisis and BCP. Harsh Raj Jain closed strong sharing his views for students to move from Resume to Role. Shilpa’s amazing idea turned into a fruitful 120 minutes with each panelist getting opportunity to share based on experiences in a different yet engaging manner. Key Takeaways from the session: 1. LEADERSHIP is paramount - effective leadership is crucial in guiding organisations through crises. Leaders must remain calm, decisive, and empathetic. 2. SUCCESSION PLANNING is essential- having a robust succession plan in place helps ensure business continuity and minimises disruption during times of crisis. 3. EMOTIONAL REGULATION is a must for HR professionals to ensure they don’t get sidelined or carried away by own biases when dealing with situations. 4. Ensuring we have CLARITY before we start is crucial to drive outcomes positively. 5. As firefighters we need to RACE ahead - be Resilient, Active Listener, Communicate Well and Engage across teams. I take this opportunity to thank the organising team at ISBR Business School for inviting me to be a part of an event with such amazing HEROES from HR. Special thanks to Arya Vardhaman for coordinating with me and my office. All the student volunteers – good show, remember "picture abhi baaki hai"… Management team of ISBR for the hospitality and warm welcome. Oh yeah, the Tech Team who seamlessly managed the presentations from different sources – Thank you! #HR #CrisisManagement #BusinessContinuity #Leadership #Event #BrillianTips #BrillianClicks #LeaderSlip #LifeOfASpeaker

Celebrate life, celebrate people, celebrate You. It’s Onam :) the grand harvest festival, celebrated mostly by the people of Kerala. Mahabali was a demon but he was known for being generous and kind-hearted. Onam commemorates the legendary King Mahabali's homecoming with great enthusiasm. Inviting everyone to be generous and kind hearted while staying professional :) Life is about having fun, even during tough times.
