🌍 '𝗕𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮 𝘀𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝘁𝗼𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗿𝗼𝘄' 𝗶𝘀 𝗻𝗼 𝘀𝗺𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗺𝗶𝘀𝗲 It’s a promise that requires real collaboration—not just between construction companies and Royal Schiphol Group on individual projects, which we’re already accustomed to. This goes deeper, aiming to deliver the experience that Schiphol’s customers genuinely desire. Achieving this calls for a profound understanding of the needs of the customer’s customer, and insight into Schiphol’s broader ambitions and goals. During Nationale Klimaatweek, one question took centre stage: how can we work together to make the airport more sustainable? With that purpose, our CEO Ruud Joosten, Ton Hillen, and Gerald Paalman joined Schiphol’s CEO, Pieter van Oord, at the table by his invitation. Under the guidance of Margot Ribberink and surrounded by key stakeholders, they tackled the pressing sustainability challenges and discussed tangible steps forward. Steps our colleagues at BAM Infra Nederland, BAM Bouw en Techniek, and BAM Energie & Water take every day. #Sustainability #NationaleKlimaatweek

Embracing the Future: Green Buildings and Sustainable Mobility at the Saudi Arabia 2024 Conference As we navigate the challenges of urbanization and environmental change, the imperative for sustainable solutions in green buildings and sustainable mobility has never been greater. The Sustainability Professionals of Saudi Arabia (SPSA) Association is proud to announce its support for the upcoming Sustainable Transport in Saudi Arabia - 2024 Conference on October 28. This pivotal event will shine a light on two key pillars of sustainable development: green buildings and sustainable transport. The Importance of Green Buildings and Sustainable Mobility At SPSA, we recognize that green buildings and sustainable mobility are not standalone concepts; they are intertwined elements that together promote a sustainable future: - Environmental Responsibility: Green buildings leverage innovative design and sustainable materials to minimize environmental impact, while sustainable mobility initiatives aim to reduce pollution and carbon emissions related to transportation. Their integration is essential for creating healthier urban ecosystems. - Urban Planning Integration: By combining the design of efficient transport systems with green building initiatives, we can create urban spaces that are not only convenient but also sustainable. For instance, locating residential areas near public transport hubs enhances accessibility and encourages residents to adopt sustainable commuting practices. - Economic Advantages: Embracing sustainability often leads to long-term cost savings. Energy-efficient buildings reduce utility expenses, while investments in sustainable transport can alleviate traffic congestion and lower infrastructure maintenance costs. Why Attend the Sustainable Transport in Saudi Arabia Conference? The Sustainable Transport in Saudi Arabia - 2024 Conference promises to be a landmark event, bringing together thought leaders, innovators, and stakeholders to discuss the future of transport and sustainability in our region. Here’s what we at SPSA are particularly excited about: - Expert Sessions: Attendees will benefit from insightful presentations by industry leaders who will share the latest advancements and best practices in sustainable transport and green building methodologies. - Networking Opportunities: This conference serves as an excellent platform for professionals passionate about sustainability to connect, collaborate, and share ideas that can drive initiatives in Saudi Arabia and beyond. - Collaborative Efforts: We look forward to exploring actionable strategies that can promote sustainable transport infrastructure—such as electric vehicle integration, enhanced public transit systems, and improved cycling infrastructure. Live Engagement: For those unable to attend in person, we invite everyone to join the conversation via the livestream. #ESG is vital in the real estate industry as it drives sustainable development, improves energy efficiency, and reduces environmental impact, enhancing long-term asset value. Prioritizing ESG practices also fosters healthier, more inclusive communities, attracting tenants and investors who value sustainability and social responsibility. Liliya Krasteva, Country Head Bulgaria at CERES Management Services, spoke at BalREc on November 6, highlighting how ESG trends are shifting investor and tenant priorities toward environmental care and climate change. #revetas #ESG #CERES #SofiaAirportCenter #SAC #BalREC #investmentmarket
Liliya Krasteva, Manager for Bulgaria of Ceres Management Services and Director of "Property Management", took part in this year's edition of BalREc, which took place on 06.11. Liliya shared that ESG trends are changing the attitudes of Bulgarian and foreign investors and tenants, with care for the environment and climate change becoming an increasingly key priority. In this context, the spacious landscaped areas and the large park with high-tech gazebos and a lake create an extremely pleasant and "green" environment in Sofia Airport Center, perfectly fitting the tenants' ESG requirements. Liliya Krasteva emphasized that owners of business buildings need to make significant investments in time, resources, maintenance, and attitude to adequately meet the needs of modern tenants The team at Sofia Airport Center stands out with their exceptionally committed attitude, successfully maintaining the complex in impeccable condition. The complex is almost fully leased, with only 2% of the space available for rent, which is indicative. For their part, tenants also make significant investments in the maintenance of the leased areas so that they can create the best environment for their employees, demonstrating commitment and long-term orientation. The joint efforts of the team of the complex and the tenants are aimed at constant improvement and development according to the needs and modern trends. Photo credit: BalREc
