Collaboration and partnerships are a key aspect of everything we do at Loch Ness Hub & Travel. Meeting face to face with industry colleagues is still the most productive way of developing business.
Congratulations to Russell Fraser and the team at Loch Ness Hub & Travel for their incredible achievement at the Highlands and Islands Thistle Awards, winning three categories! 👏 It’s fantastic to see their hard work being recognised. 🏞️ Our Travel Specialist, Hamish Cameron, had the pleasure of meeting Russell while walking the Loch Ness 360 trail just last month. We’re proud to work with such a committed team for our client's Great Glen Way and Loch Ness 360 bag transfers. 🥾 #ThistleAwards #LochNess #SupplierSpotlight #WalkingHolidays

Earlier this year the Marina Industries Association released its biennial Health of the Australian Marina Industry Study to provide insights in the sector. The report stated the 291 marina facilities nationally contribute more than $2billion to the economy and support almost 22,000 jobs. Queensland is home to the largest marinas in the country, housing around 320 boats at each facility and reporting the highest average turnover at $3.4 million. Over 80 per cent of the marinas lease space to marine related tenancies, most of which are small business operators who provide service to boaters. The Sunshine State is certainly a powerhouse for all forms of boating across paddle, power and sail. Maritime Safety Queensland announced earlier this year the State had for the first time registered more than 1million boat driver licences. #marineindustry #marinas #boatingindustry

🛥️ 🇳🇿 What makes New Zealand a global leader in the marine industry? It's a legacy of innovation, exceptional craftsmanship, and a dynamic industry that now contributes billions to the New Zealand economy! I was fortunate to spend some time with industry leaders at the Superyacht welcome event during my recent trip to Auckland. It was a fantastic evening spent with over 250 owners, captains, crew, and industry leaders, all coming together to celebrate the start of the season. Key highlights of New Zealand’s marine sector: - $212 million in economic value from superyacht visits alone. - $250 million generated by new builds, with five vessels under construction by NZ Superyacht builders this year. - $3 billion total value of New Zealand’s marine industry, with huge growth potential. - 50% increase in superyacht arrivals anticipated, thanks to expanding infrastructure and world-class refit capabilities. From innovative shipbuilding to cutting-edge facilities, New Zealand’s marine heritage continues to shape its global leadership. A huge thanks to Peter Busfield and the team at NZ Marine, and the NZ Marine Industry for an amazing event and hospitality.
