Integrating tech, wellness, and education to create emotionally intelligent solutions for public service organizations.
A significant percentage of employees juggle their full-time jobs with caregiving responsibilities for their family. Recognizing and supporting these employees is crucial for fostering a compassionate and productive work environment. Providing flexible schedules, caregiver support programs, and resources can make a substantial difference. These initiatives show your employees that you understand and value their dual roles, leading to increased engagement and loyalty. Benefits: • Employees feel valued and supported, which boosts their commitment to the organization. • Flexible schedules allow employees to manage caregiving duties without taking excessive time off. • Supportive policies reduce stress and burnout among caregivers. Check out this new report on how employers can support their employees with caregiving responsibilities and benefit from better retention and engagement. 🔖Caregiving is a common and challenging reality for many workers, especially after the COVID-19 pandemic. 🔖Benefits such as flexible work arrangements, paid leave, and care subsidies can help employees balance work and care demands. ⭐Outcomes of providing caregiving support include lower turnover, higher productivity, and improved loyalty and morale.
❤️ New report on caregivers in the workplace: Healthy Outcomes—How employers' support for employees with caregiving responsibilities can benefit the organization, from Joseph Fuller and the Project on Managing the Future of Work: https://lnkd.in/gmmBN2N8 "Post-COVID, many more employers recognize that their employees are juggling work along with caregiving responsibilities—but management tends to lack a strategic response. This is because few employers calculate or track the economics of providing support to caregiving employees. Our research shows that employers who make the right investments in caregiving benefits for employees are more likely to see better outcomes such as higher retention and better engagement." #caregivers #workforce

Happy Workplace Lactation Week! Celebrated annually from September 1-7 to coincide with Labor Day, Workplace Lactation Week recognizes the important labor of a vital segment of the workforce - pumping parents. This year's theme, 𝘗𝘰𝘭𝘪𝘤𝘺 𝘵𝘰 𝘗𝘳𝘢𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘤𝘦: 𝘔𝘢𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘓𝘢𝘤𝘵𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘚𝘶𝘱𝘱𝘰𝘳𝘵 𝘢 𝘙𝘦𝘢𝘭𝘪𝘵𝘺, nods to the progress we at pumpspotting aim to foster in every organization we touch. The PUMP Act and Pregnant Workers' Fairness Acts have both served to provide crucial legal protections to lactating parents, and we've seen a positive shift in workplace policy as a result. But a successful workplace lactation program goes well beyond mere policy. Nursing and pumping can be an incredibly isolating experience for parents. By its nature, milk expression is generally an activity done alone. It removes the pumping parent from workplace activities, and oftentimes, their coworkers may not comprehend the importance of the pump "breaks" the pumping parent is taking. Creating and fostering an inclusive and supportive culture for lactating parents is invaluable to any organization! It boosts retention and increases trust. Did you know that organizations who offer a comprehensive workplace lactation program see retention rates of 94% as compared to the national average of just 59% (according to the US Department of Health and Human Services)? We're proud to support organizations of all sizes in their endeavors to provide workplace lactation support. By providing a sample milk expression policy, advising on lactation spaces, offering virtual expert support, hosting company-wide lunch & learns (and more) pumpspotting is available to take your lactation program from policy to practice. #WLW2024 #WorkplaceLactationWeek #PolicytoPractice

This week we celebrate Mothers Day in many countries. We would love to applaud to all of the incredible moms who are daily finding the balance between work and family. It is clearly not an easy task that requires a lot of dedication and resilience - a sheer sample of multitasking at its best. Sigrid Vilborn, our head of HR, with 20+ years of first hand experience as a mother and a professional, shares her thoughts on how to successfully manage the journey on both sides. The key to being able to be there for your children and family, in parallel with full dedication in business, is, beyond doubt, having a strong support system. This also includes a supportive and encouraging work environment. Although it often feels like mission impossible to manage major projects and tasks at work while arranging the logistics and catering for your children, we want to celebrate all the mothers who navigate this, whatever way works best for them! It's challenging, yet immensely rewarding. Some tips to manage the challenging situations: 🔎 focus on what's important and really matters at home and at work ⚖ Set clear lines between family time and work time 🗣 Be open and transparent about your needs with your manager 🧘♀️ Prioritize your wellbeing with exercise, sleep, and mindfulness. For the employers, encourage the culture of flexibility, openness and empathy where parents feel empowered to prioritise both work and family. It will pay off with healthier work-life balance, happier employees and stronger business results. Here's to all the working parents out there, leading with heart and determination. Your unwavering dedication is our inspiration. Happy Mother's Day to all moms and gratitude to all parents! 🌟 #MothersDay #WorkingParents #Gratitude #PeopleofFleetComplete #FleetComplete
