Myself and daughter struggle with remembering math calculations, no relationship with numbers. Daughter especially struggles with left right and 24 hour clock. We also both have ADHD. When you finally learn it’s not IQ related it’s so validating. Without identification of cause of challenges can be confidence sapping.
I’ve recently been supporting a learner with dyscalculia, we need more specialist tutors which have been in short supply for a number of years…

This is the way to go, everyone has the capacity to love numbers... Let's diagnose this disability as we focus on the transitional future in STEM. We can do it.....

8moI’m dyscalculic - it’s not something we talk about much but…. Maths anxiety, still count on my fingers, can’t do maths without a calculator, struggle to use Microsoft Excel, numbers blur into each other, turn numbers back to front, miss digits when copying… Dyscalculia is real and it’s needs to be recognised as much as reading/written Dyslexia
