So much good stuff going on for British Design Fund portfolio company SolarisKit Ltd | Certified B Corp right now! Founded by Faisal Ghani, SolarisKit has developed the world's first flat-packed, self-assembled solar collector, which can efficiently turn sunlight into heat, providing carbon free hot water. The team has completed numerous projects around the world, including energy access projects in Rwanda, Zambia, Kenya, and Malawi, providing affordable and clean energy solutions to communities that need them the most. In partnership with Strathmore University, the team also helped established a solar thermal training centre in Nairobi to accelerate positive change - 17 technicians having just successfully completed the course, with a further 25 participants already confirmed for the next cohort. And if that wasn't enough, they were named the winner of a prestigious international energy innovation competition run by Ras Al-Khaimah in the UAE, a region that itself presents a huge opportunity.
