Ignore that I look like I'm trying to sell you my debut cook book and enjoy my tale of avoiding ultra-processed foods for a week. Was it hard? Was I surprised? Is it difficult to eat non-UPF when you're also non-gluten? No spoilers, I'm here for the clicks. Read below 👇 https://lnkd.in/eQeSC5ey *Thanks to Polly Weeks for the commission and Nichola Ludlam-Raine BSc (hons), PG Dip, MSc at the British Dietetic Association (BDA) for her insights 🍴 #ultraprocessedfood #UPF #processedfood #diet #nutrition #glutenfree

Clicked and read! I read Chris Van Tulleken's book a few months ago and since then have been mostly UPF free and I feel better however I completely agree with points around cost, convenience and time. Plus both my kids moan constantly that we don't have any 'nice snacks' any more even though I've been baking more than usual. The 80/20 rule is a good one.

I'm mid way through Chris Van Tulleken's Ultra Processed People - what an eye opener!! Going UPF free sure isn't easy... but when you know what goes into some of your 'food', you really don't want to eat it!

This gave me whiplash from times in my 20s where I've foolishly attempted to be either organic, gluten-free, vegan, vegetarian, or counting calories and macros, and the amount of mental energy and prep time that comes with it all. 80/20 for the win – give me bread!

Great read. I've been considering my own options in regards to healthy eating, so this was fantastic timing!

Thank you for the book mention too!! Much appreciated x
