An Experienced Business Development Consultant / Marketing and Communication Specialist who understands the African business landscape, focusing on West and Central Africa.
Various sectors have hosted numerous #African #business forums outside of the #continent over the years. However, I perceive this as a flawed approach with limited benefits. In my view, many of the organisers prioritise personal interests over genuine impact on #Africa's #economy. As a result, these forums often fail to yield significant results. In my opinion, the most effective venue for organising an African business forum is within Africa itself. This allows participants to engage with ground reality and gain a clear understanding of the region's economic landscape. Conducting forums within Africa fosters genuine dialogue and collaboration, enabling stakeholders to address pertinent issues directly and work towards sustainable solutions. Ground reality is paramount in business #development, and hosting forums within Africa ensures that discussions are grounded in the context of the continent's unique challenges and opportunities. Africa is changing. Become part of the change! ‘Seeing Africa in a different light is important for business and organizations if they want to change with it. Lingering on the stereotypical African images is out of date. However, times are changing, or rather, they have already changed.’ Special news In recent months I have collaborated on a fantastic project: The European Africa agenda 2025 - 2100 from Economic Summit. Contributions to a long-term strategy. Suitable for entrepreneurs, politicians, NGOs and people who want to experience change. Africa is more🌍 Thanks to Mercy Ships Holland, Woord en Daad and other organizations for all the learning moments and seeing Africa. Arleen Westerhof for your passion and leadership. And most important: all my African friends and the people I met in the African countries. The struggles, strength and creativity are inspiring. To be continued the coming months… #africa #change #europe #agenda #strategy #fair #equal #politics #ngo #economy #lobby #ubuntu

SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT TIPS FOR AFRICA 💡 Accommodative #policies must rule if we are to develop Africa sustainably. We have our flaws and deflecting them won't help us. You cannot invite in a guest who does not understand the role of a church, putting money before human rights, simply because you disagreed with one who built the church in 1 or 2 things! This approach will only lead to further fragmentation and hinder our progress. 💡 To avoid this, we can learn from other regions that have successfully navigated external influences while maintaining their identity and autonomy. For instance, #Asia has prioritized self-determination, cultural preservation, and strategic engagement with foreign #partners, allowing them to adapt external models to their local contexts. Africa can draw valuable lessons from this approach. 💡 Similarly, indigenous #cultures worldwide have resisted assimilation by preserving their traditions, languages, and values. This is a powerful example for Africa, where cultural heritage and diversity can inform and shape development paths that honor human rights and dignity. By embracing our unique #identity and autonomy, we can forge a development trajectory that truly benefits our people. 💡 In conclusion, let us focus on building a brighter #future for Africa, where human rights and dignity are paramount. By acknowledging our flaws, learning from others, and embracing our diversity, we can create a more inclusive and equitable environment for #sustainable development. Follow Patrick Ssempeera as we put #africa on the correct #sustainabledevelopment path.
