🌍 A World Without Hunger Is Possible! 🌍 Last week, I was honored to participate in UNIDO’s #WorldWithoutHunger conference in Addis Ababa, where the message was clear: A world without hunger is possible. Achieving this vision will take a unified effort from all sectors. A critical takeaway was that government investments alone can’t fully solve the challenge of food security. Industry involvement is essential to driving sustainable progress. GLOBALG.A.P. is proud to support this mission by contributing to capacity-building initiatives that empower farmers, strengthen farm assurance, and facilitate access to markets. The event also highlighted the need for communication, collaboration, and alignment across sectors to ensure lasting impact. Working alongside partners like #UNIDO and other stakeholders, we’re more committed than ever to fostering resilient agricultural communities and securing a future free from hunger. Thank you to all participants and UNIDO for advancing this critical dialogue and inspiring action! #WorldWithoutHunger #UNIDO #SustainableAgriculture .#CapacityBuilding #FoodSecurity #IndustryCollaboration #FutureOfFood #AgriculturalEmpowerment #PublicPrivatePartnerships

Sulma Whole Foods is proudly represented by our CEO, Aisha Chepngetich at the #AfricaFoodSystems (AFS) Forum 2024 in Kigali, Rwanda. This year's forum, themed "Innovate, Accelerate, and Scale: Delivering Food Systems Transformation in a Different Digital and Climate Era," focuses on addressing the rapidly growing food demand in Africa, which is increasing by an average of 3% annually—mirroring the continent's population growth. While Africa is endowed with abundant land, natural resources, and biodiversity that are crucial for agriculture, the continent still faces challenges in meeting this demand. Hailemariam Desalegn, AFS Board Chair, aptly asks, "Do we pause and ponder what it takes for food to arrive on our plates?" highlighting the essential role of smallholder farmers in our food systems. At AFS Forum 2024, the focus is on strengthening Africa’s food systems. We look forward to engaging in discussions on how smallholder farmers, the private sector, policymakers, and government agencies can work together to enhance agriculture across the continent. #AfricaFoodSytemsForum2024 #AFS2024 #HailemariamDesalegn #AGRA #Africafoodsytems #foodsytems #foodsystemstransformation
