The number one reason I hear for founders not attending networking? Having to pitch your business - quickly. The dread of creating an elevator pitch stops a lot of new business owners from attending events because you worry that you will miss a possible sale. So I want to set the record straight. Yes, you do need to find a way of describing your business quickly. And yes, you do need to make it engaging. But at that point, you're not selling. Nobody can sell their business in 20 seconds. But you can spark interest. You can talk about a problem that you help solve, that they may have. But you don't have to pressure yourself into a 20 second version of everything your business does.
