🩸 Donated Blood – And Learned Something Cool! 🩸Stephanie Edra thank you for organizing this event! I had the privilege of donating blood in partnership with Stanford Blood Center at the Hyatt Centric. Not only was it an important experience, but I also learned something fascinating that I wanted to share. Turns out, my blood type is O-, and apparently, that makes me a universal donor! 🩸🔄 It’s pretty rare, though, which means it can sometimes be harder to find donors with compatible blood. So, of course, I couldn’t help but ask: Do they save O- blood for other O- people? 🤔 Her answer blew my mind: Nope! O- blood is actually used in emergency situations, especially when babies are born and their blood type isn't yet known, or in trauma cases when there's no time to check blood types. That O- blood is a lifesaver when every second counts. ⏱️ It’s incredible to know how something as simple as donating blood can make such a huge difference. If you’re eligible, I encourage you to donate too – you never know who’s out there needing your blood. 💖 #BloodDonation #UniversalDonor #SaveLives #StanfordBloodCenter #DonateBlood #ONegative #EmergencyCare #LifeSaving #HyattCentric
Our team at Hyatt Centric Mountain View came together to support a vital cause and give back to our community. It's inspiring to see the dedication and commitment of everyone involved. Giving blood not only saves lives but strengthens the bond we share with our community. Thank you to all who participated and made a difference!

🌎 Celebrating the Spirit of Giving: St. Nicholas Day What festive traditions does St. Nicholas Day hold in your heart? Observed on December 6, St. Nicholas Day is about the joy of generosity and the power of small, meaningful acts of kindness. Rooted in centuries-old traditions, it honors St. Nicholas, the patron saint of children and sailors, whose legacy inspires us to give selflessly and embrace the magic of the season. How is it celebrated around the world? - In the Netherlands and Germany: Children leave their shoes out at night, hoping to find small gifts, sweets, or even poems in the morning. - In France: The day includes parades, storytelling, and the exchange of gifts. - In America: St. Nicholas Day is a quieter celebration, with traditions often tied to family heritage. Simple Ways to Celebrate St. Nicholas Day: - Give Thoughtful Gifts: It’s not about extravagance—small tokens like handwritten notes, baked goods, or keepsakes can make someone's day. - Spread Kindness: Pay it forward with small gestures—buy a coffee for someone, leave an encouraging note, or volunteer your time. - Create Family Traditions: Share stories about the meaning of the day, bake together, or enjoy a meal with loved ones. - Incorporate Accessibility: Include everyone in the celebrations! For example, use inclusive recipes, accessible storytelling formats, and ensure digital invites or messages are readable for all. Why It Matters: Celebrating St. Nicholas Day isn't just about honoring the past—it's about creating a ripple effect of kindness and joy in today’s world. These small moments of connection and generosity remind us of the collective strength in unity and empathy. Let’s keep the spirit of St. Nicholas alive by spreading a little more kindness every day. ❤️ What’s your favorite St. Nicholas Day tradition? How Will You Make This Grandparents Day Special? Grandparents Day offers a wonderful opportunity to honor the wisdom, love, and support that grandparents bring to our lives. Here are three thoughtful ways to show your appreciation: 1. **Plan a Family Picnic in the Park** Take advantage of pleasant weather and organize a picnic at a local park. Pack some of their favorite snacks, share stories, and enjoy the outdoors together. It’s a simple yet meaningful way to create lasting memories. 2. **Create a Memory Book** Gather photos, handwritten notes, and keepsakes to assemble a personalized memory book. Whether it chronicles family history or highlights recent moments, this heartfelt gift will be cherished for years to come. 3. **Organize a Virtual Celebration** If distance is a factor, a virtual gathering can still bring everyone together. Set up a video call with family members, share activities, or even watch a movie together online. Grandparents will appreciate the effort, even if celebrated from afar. This Grandparents Day, take the time to celebrate the legacy of love and support that grandparents provide across generations. My graditude journey. As I look back over the past year, I’m reminded of the importance of showing up and holding myself accountable for my own growth. Facing myself hasn’t always been easy—leaning into fear, learning from failures, and letting go of insecurities. But through it all, I’ve learned how powerful it is to feel good in my own skin and truly trust myself. Now, I know that whatever I set out to do, I am capable. Every connection I make, I know I’m worthy of someone’s time and energy. But getting here hasn’t been a simple journey. Building self-love and self-trust is hard work. It takes courage to confront insecurities and commit to nurturing yourself. It’s easy to use insecurity as an excuse, but I’ve learned that self-love is the real recipe for success. When you believe in your worth, you’re unstoppable. Here’s to the journey of self-discovery, growth, and embracing our full potential. With gratitude,
Today, we take a moment to be grounded and thoughtful, giving thanks for everything that serves us and helps us grow. Thanksgiving is a beautiful time to reflect on what may not be serving us, to embrace the opportunity to learn, and to find gratitude in every experience—even in those moments when we feel the weight and compression of life. We are incredibly grateful for the support of our communities, for everyone who has been a part of our journey, and for those we’ve yet to meet. Together, we’re stronger. Wishing everyone a warm and reflective Thanksgiving! 🧡 #Thanksgiving #Gratitude #EmpowerWomenCanada #ReflectAndGrow #CommunitySupport

99% of people do not know this, but this is the best post you will ever read about Santa Claus 🤩 When you give joy, you get it back twofold. Only Santa knows 😁 Let's find out why👇 The Charles W. Howard Santa Claus School, which has been around since 1937, is the oldest place in the world where people can train to be Santa Claus. Located in Midland, Michigan, this school is all about keeping Santa's traditions alive and sharing the history of the jolly figure. It offers resources for students to step into the role of Santa and Mrs. Claus, helping them spread the Christmas cheer wherever they go. The school’s mission focuses on giving thorough training in a bunch of areas that make being Santa a special experience. Check them out 👇 ● Performance Skills. Students work on how to truly embody Santa, perfecting his voice, gestures, and overall presence. ● Costuming and Appearance. There’s advice on nailing that classic Santa look, from the red suit to keeping a neat beard. ● Communication with Children. Training covers how to interact with kids of all ages, handle their questions and listen to their wishes in a way that feels genuine. ● Media Training. With digital media being such a big deal now, there’s instruction on how to portray Santa in different media formats. ● Business Aspects. For those thinking about making Santa a profession, the school shares tips on the business side, like marketing and setting up appearances. The Charles W. Howard Santa Claus School has a long history and has played a key role in shaping how we think of Santa today. A big thanks to the founder, Charles W. Howard, a well-known Santa himself who wanted to enhance the quality of Santa performances. Now, the school carries on that mission, bringing in students from all over who are excited to share the joy and authenticity of being Santa Claus. Remember, if you are not a Santa you can never be like Santa 🎅 Sources: 🌍 www.santaclausschool.com Great Big Story ✒️ White King Media Victory Okeke 🔊 #SantaClausSchool #CharlesWHowardSchool #BecomingSanta #ChristmasSpirit 🎄 #SantaTraining #HolidayMagic ✨ #ChristmasLegends #SpreadingJoy #AuthenticSanta #SantaForHire #KeepChristmasClassic #HolidayHeroes

Celebrating 15 Years of Strength, Resilience, and Hope I don’t want all my posts to be about my daughter, but this milestone is too important not to share. Yesterday, we celebrated her 15th birthday—a moment that once felt uncertain. When she was just two, she was diagnosed with a brain tumor and given a 30-50% chance of survival. Now, 13 years later, she continues to defy the odds with strength, courage, and an incredible spirit. But survival is just the beginning of the journey. The long-term impact of childhood illness reaches far beyond hospital walls—it shapes daily life, education, access to opportunities, and the support networks families rely on. That’s one of the reasons I co-founded WeCanAccess—to break down the barriers that prevent people with additional needs and disabilities from fully participating in the world around them. Every child deserves the chance to thrive, and every family deserves the support to help them do so. Through training, resources, and innovative solutions, we’re working to create a world where accessibility and inclusion aren’t afterthoughts but foundations for stronger, more compassionate communities. As I reflect on my daughter’s journey, I’m reminded of why this work matters. There’s still so much to do, but my daughter beat the odds so I know we can! Let's keep pushing for a world where inclusion isn’t an afterthought but a foundation. What changes do you think would make the biggest difference in creating a truly accessible and inclusive society?
