So many outstanding programs represented across the US! I love that the programs have tips on how to make them scalable and replicable all while still being able to tailor them to your agencies unique needs! If anyone needs me, I’ll be reading through this booklet for the next several months! #Innovation#USAging#Aginginplace

Children's palliative care is a critical yet often misunderstood area of healthcare. That’s why, this week we'll shine a light on the incredible work of Footprints 4 Sam, who have joined forces with The International Children’s Palliative Care Network (ICPCN) on their Hats On for Children's Palliative Care campaign, and how they are making a difference in the lives of families facing pediatric illness and how their approach to sustainability ensures long-term impact: https://loom.ly/4d6a79E
The healthcare system is facing a nursing crisis—burnout, staff shortages, and administrative overload. Colin Plover PhD, MSN, MPH, MSEd, RN at Nightingale Caring Solutions is solving this by automating administrative tasks, saving hospitals money, reducing nurse burnout, and improving patient care. A game-changer for healthcare efficiency and investment opportunity.
Thrilled to share that we are presenting at this year's Reimagining Primary Care Forum on April 23 in Cambridge, MA.
We're seeing behavioral health needs higher than ever before. And that burden? It is felt first in primary care. That gets at the very reason we need to "reimagine" primary care - and it is what behavioral health integration is designed to solve.
Join us* as we unpack that and explore how the Collaborative Care Model (CoCM) bridges the gap between data and action.

Food for thought for other verticals. Similarly, in professional services, bios are often used to humanize technical fields (technology, engineering, legal, etc.). I often see firms going overboard with personal facts *over showcasing expense/value prop*. But every time we ask our clients’ clients about what truly matters, when we probe past the commonly cited “it’s all about relationships,” they place “expertise” above all else.

The results are in! Here are our preliminary findings on what really matters in a physician's bio.
1. 92% of survey participants are reading bios.
2. Patients don't want to know what their provider's hobbies are or if they have pets. They want to know why they became a doctor in the first place and their care philosophy.
3. Reviews matter more than what they hear from friends and family.
We'll share the full report in October. Stay tuned!
Human Experience Week recognises and celebrates that the experiences of our patients, their families and carers cannot be separated from the experiences of our caregivers (staff and volunteers).
The theme for 2024, Innovate to Elevate, focuses on the importance of amplifying voices to inspire hope and making the important shift from surviving to thriving by removing the pebbles in our shoes.
At NSW Health, we know that the exceptional patient experience is more than receiving excellent clinical care. How that care is delivered and how it makes us feel is just as important.

I am enjoying the habit of boosting examples of leadership in action. Perhaps I should use it as a feature in the upcoming newsletter- Words can influence minds but actions build the future. Cheers to a brighter future in cancer care.
Breaking News! Great news for Irvine & Santa Ana CA residents and oncology professionals. A new facility is coming to the southern CA region, bringing care options closer to home. Residents, healthcare leaders, and market stats all suggest that this is exactly what the area needs.
For those living in the area, this means better options for care nearer to you, without having to drive over an hour for the type of doctor you need. Bringing top-notch care options closer to residents is critical to access and changes how many will experience treatment in the area. It means less cost to patients who travel out of town and pay for overnight stays. It means actually getting the care you deserve for those who are not able to overcome geographical and financial barriers to care in their region.
For those working in rad-onc or planning to, and are from the area, you are getting a brand new facility as an option for your career. You can reconsider having to move away from your relatives to get the best job in your field. A trusted name and the best minds in the field are now in your backyard. This will drive oncology professionals to the region for better cost of living, housing, and research opportunities.
Thank you to everyone involved in bringing care options closer to the southern CA region in Irvine. Let's celebrate better options for care and career opportunities for oncology workers. #Irvine#SantaAna#healthcare#oncology#careeropportunities#newfacility#healthcaretechnicalstaffing
System Chief Executive - City of Hope Medical Foundation & National Physician Organization
Today, leaders from across the City of Hope system came together to launch the activation of our new and upcoming Irvine Hospital. It was a historic day as we plan for our second academic hospital in Southern California.
Toward the end of the session leaders Annette Walker, Wendy Austin, Annette Morgan, M.B.A., Laura Grant, Dr. Ed Kim and I - took questions from the audience. At the start of the Q&A, there was silence for almost a minute as scores of leaders took their phones out and began taking pictures of the panel. Here is the moment Ed and I realized the audience was actually scanning the bar code above our heads in order to submit their questions - not taking a picture. Our influencer moment quickly evaporated!
Thank you to all our leaders who participated. This will be an exceptional journey as we open a world class hospital in Irvine. Your talent, compassion and focus will lead to a place of healing like no other.
