As families embrace the new school year, our shopping centers across the United States implemented a diverse range of programs to equip students with the necessary tools, resources and skills as they head back to class.  📚 Riverchase Galleria in Hoover, Alabama organized a back-to-school shopping experience guided by potential adoptive parents for fourteen foster children. The kids received fresh clothes and supplies for school, while also learning about essential life skills like budgeting. 📚 Visalia Mall in Visalia, California hosted the annual Back to School Expo which welcomed 35 local exhibitors focused on school supplies, education, and family resources, and health. Attendees enjoyed giveaways, special prizes, and swag tailored to kids and families! 📚 Peachtree Mall in Columbus, Georgia’s partnered with local organizations and retailers to provided over 200 children with school supplies and complimentary haircuts. 📚 Baybrook Mall in Houston, Texas held a school supply donation drive with all proceeds going directly to BEAR...BE A Resource for CPS Kids Houston, in partnership with the Heart Gallery of Great Houston, which provides support to abused and neglected children and their caseworkers. 📚 Sooner Mall in Norman, Oklahoma distributed backpacks filled with school supplies to underprivileged families. Each year, the mall also participates in United Way’s Stuff the Bus program which resulted in over 30,000 school supply donations, benefiting more than 1,000 individuals in need. Together, we’re paving the way for a school year filled with endless growth, new opportunities, and exciting possibilities! Take a look: 💰 Brookfield Cares' Summer Fundraiser: This year’s annual fundraiser, featuring cornhole, ping pong, and trivia contests, raised $6,556 for A Silver Lining Foundation, a non-profit committed to making mammograms accessible to at-risk populations across the country. 🐑 Our London team braved the heat at Spitalfields City Farm, making a huge impact by tidying up the farmland, painting benches in the community garden, and washing sheep wool for an upcoming arts and crafts workshop. 👗 Dress for Success Triangle: The Brookfield Properties in Raleigh team recently volunteered with Dress for Success Triangle NC, supporting the organization's mission to provide women with resources and tools for economic independence. 🏖️ Chicago Beach Clean Up: In July, our U.S. Retail team actively participated in the Chicago Beach Clean Up organized by the Hispanic/Latinx ERG, picking up trash and debris to maintain clean and healthy public spaces. #BrookfieldCares #RetailatBrookfieldProperties #BrookfieldPropertiesinLondon #DevopmentatBrookfieldProperties #Volunteer #GivingBack #Community

In June, Bankside Park officially opened marking the first time in over a century that South Bronx residents had direct access to the Harlem River.
