Initial improvements in symptoms can be seen quickly and after just a few sessions. This is very motivating. For both, patients and therapists. The effects of Neurofeedback are especially noticeable in everyday life and are also noticed - especially withchildren and adolescents - by parents and in the school environment. They can be seen in better concentration, balance, better handwriting, etc. Such tangible successes are extremely motivating and mean that patients are usually very happy to come to therapy. As a child therapist I want everyone to know this: Everything does not require therapy. Big feelings are normal. Hard days are normal. Sometimes kids just need better sleeping and eating routines to feel regulated. Sometimes they need some skill building. Setting up regular one-on-one time with a child and caregiver can make a big difference. That's why I'm so excited to be part of Lucero because families can try our app first before going to therapy. Let's not pathologize normal human development. Emotional regulation is a skill and can be learned and practiced --without needing a clinical diagnosis first.

**Managing Special Needs** Accepting Reality and Looking for Assistance Since parents naturally want the best for their kids, receiving a diagnosis of special needs can be very difficult. Initial responses, like denial, are normal and frequently operate as a buffer against the emotional strain of this brand-new reality. Denying the diagnosis, putting off getting help from a professional, or waiting for a spontaneous resolution are some examples of denial. Denial is a typical response, but it's important to realise that it might make it more difficult to get the help and resources you need. Accepting the diagnosis is a critical first step. Rather than representing a loss of love or hope, this strategy represents a chance to successfully overcome obstacles. Getting involved with experts, support networks, and other parents can be incredibly beneficial. We can better advocate for our child's needs, obtain appropriate therapies, and establish a supportive environment that fosters their growth if we resolutely accept this truth. Accepting the diagnosis and seeking support enhances our ability to provide our child with the greatest possible care and possibilities. Seeking help from a therapist and a healthcare provider is advised if your child is exhibiting symptoms including tantrums, meltdowns, intense behaviour, delayed speech, trouble forming words, or trouble recognising letters, numbers, and colours.
