When selecting partnerships, I focus on three key factors: 1. Alignment with Mission – Does it resonate with River Rock Outfitters' core values? 2. Professional Development – Will it provide opportunities for personal and professional growth? 3. Unique Contributions – Can I bring valuable experiences or resources to benefit the partnership? With limited time and resources, it's essential to ensure that partnership goals align. Thoughtful collaborations not only benefit businesses but also support nonprofits and engage the community. By choosing wisely, we can create win-win situations that drive success and make a lasting difference! https://lnkd.in/e-iBskpK #Partnerships #CommunityEngagement #RiverRockOutfitters #BusinessGrowth

Copy + Ghostwriter: Saving the world from robots one hand written word at a time 📚 Content, Scripts, Emails, Books… etc.
Florida's usual sunshine decided to take a vacation, leaving a dreary, chilly morning for my friend's pickleball fundraiser. Rain threatened to dampen the planned fun, but I saw opportunity knocking. My team started texting about not attending the event. Yet, they missed the gold mine hidden in grey skies. I challenged them: grab ponchos from the dollar store or umbrellas from Walmart, staple your business cards to them, and use them as unique icebreakers! Imagine standing out amidst raincoats and umbrellas, offering practical help while introducing yourself. The ponchos might become bin fodder, but the memory of your team's thoughtfulness wouldn't. Every time someone uses the umbrella? Guess who pops into their mind? Greywolfe Investing. Standing out at networking events rarely requires grand gestures. It's the subtle, genuine moments that create connections and live rent-free in people's minds. So, what unique ways are YOU breaking the mold at networking events? Share your stories below! #networking #firstimpressions #community

New blog post! 📢 I'm happy to share the advice I often give nonprofits that are interested in launching a corporate partnerships program. It starts with developing some critical building blocks that will help you evaluate, structure, and implement strategic partnerships. Internal program infrastructure isn't always the sexiest topic, but if you're like me and you love a good template or process - this is the post for you! My fellow partnership pro's, I would love to hear your suggestions for how to get ready for corporate partnerships in the comments below.

Changing the future for nearly 80,000 youth every year, preparing them for work and life. Leadership is KEY to this relationship-focused, strategic and innovative thinker, results-oriented, coach, and speaker.
We talk a lot about cultivating new prospects/donors and “filling the pipeline”. What we don’t talk enough about is taking care of and stewarding our current partners/clients. Keeping your existing clients/donors should be as much of a priority. And it cost less! Did you know it can cost a company up to five times more to attract a new client versus keeping an existing one? Happy clients/donors and satisfied customers are so important to the success of an organization. Junior Achievement of South Florida is fortunate to have many loyal donors and partners and we value their support. In fact, we can’t do the work we do without them!! One of our long time partners, Nova Southeastern University representatives came out to JA World last week. It was great to meet with Harry Moon MD, Randall Seneff and Daniel Alonso and hear about the innovation at the college and how we might bring that to their storefronts at JA World. Newsletters and emails are great to keep clients/donors up to date but meeting in person or virtually to build the relationship is so meaningful. Are you spending time focusing on how you steward your current clients/donors?

Jargon is driving me nuts. 🙃 An advert for the latest 'architect designed townhouse' landed in my mailbox. Of course it’s architect designed- I didn’t think you brought in the local butcher to just have a go. Same for chef created gourmet meals 🍴. Maybe the chef did a job swap with the architect just for fun 😄. When you’re approaching a new corporate partner, the temptation is to use jargon, program language, or just the blindingly obvious to describe your organization. Patient-centred care 🏥- well of course it is. If you’re not centered on improving the health of the patient, then what are you doing? Evidence-based 📊- I assumed you didn’t just wake up that morning and think it was a good idea. Trauma-informed 💔 - no doubt valuable but I had to Google what it meant. Many non-profits are too deep in their own jargon to realize that it’s not appropriate for a corporate audience. If you aim to reach out to partners, you need to speak their language. You especially don’t want to use language that makes you look smart and your audience feel stupid or excluded. Crafting a compelling message for a corporate audience is essential to winning new partners. It needs to be concise, to the point, and aimed at both the head and the heart. 💡 ❤️ If you want to design a credentials document that gets corporate attention, join us for our session at the F&P BIG4 conference on Thurs 31st October. We’ll give you tips and tricks and plenty of great examples. https://lnkd.in/g7AFW_JT Need help with creating your own awesome document? Do you work in Corporate Fundraising? Would you like access to powerful partnerships strategies, as well as individual coaching to help you apply them and grow fundraising income? Our flagship Corporate Partnerships Mastery Programme starts again in October. The masterclasses and individual coaching support are designed to help you grow your confidence, skills and results. Here are the results that Adan Freeman, Partnerships Manager ‑ New Business at Movember, told us he achieved: "I found the strategies and support I got from the Corporate Mastery Programme really useful. It’s so helpful to get access to practical ways of solving so many things that make corporate fundraising difficult. And it works! For instance, I was able to apply these ways of working in my new job and within 6 months I’d won four valuable partnerships. One of them is worth over £100k, with potential to grow further. These strategies are really effective." Find out more about the programme here: https://bit.ly/2YYuyYA #CorporateFundraising #CorporatePartnerships
