MAKE YOUR SAFETY CULTURE CONTAGIOUS!!! MAKE IT PERSONAL - when it becomes personal to the individual and their families, it will become more crucial for them to want to understand and follow. MAKE IT RELEVANT- talk about safety as it relates to their day to day. emphasize the parts that your teams deal with more often and present the most challenges. ENCOURAGE INVOLVEMENT - the more people you have contributing, the more people you will have learning. MAKE IT VISIBLE - put up posters that carry positive reinforcement, share pictures of success stories, place reminders of why we live safely in high traffic areas. Anything you can do to put a face to your program will help. PREACH ITS VALUE - from the first day an employee walks through your doors, preach how important safety is to your organization. install your values early and reinforce them often. make everyone involved feel your commitment to them and let it build a continuing level of trust. REWARD AND ACKNOWLEDGEMENT - take every opportunity you have to acknowledge and reward your team when you see positive changes. when they accomplish things above and beyond let them know it's appreciated. when it becomes consistent and fuels major wins, let them feel a part of that success.  "The Human Side of Safety Culture" https://lnkd.in/gxb5f63S
