D-Tech Rotary Steerable was chosen to drill an 8.5-in. lateral for a new customer in Upton County, TX. The D-Tech tool and team completed the 18,163 ft well in the Wolfcamp B3 Formation, successfully transmitting real-time data to TD. An operator was drilling the 7.875-in. section of a well in the Wolfcamp D. Despite drilling through a difficult formation, they still needed to improve their return-on-investment and reduce drilling time.
