I am excited to be able to offer 2 foundation year placements for 2025-26 with Malmesbury Pharmacy. Having recently completed my DPP training with ProPharmace and also with 6 years of teaching pharmacy undergraduate level behind me I would urge all MPharm Part 3 students to take a look at the description on Oriel as you will gain first hand experience of working within a multi-disciplinary team ready for the all important General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) exam. One is a split with the amazing Great Western Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust under the tutelage of Tom Wareing and the other with BSW Pharm Trainees with Caroline Quinn and Lucie Ball (Thompson) learning everything about the wider healthcare system. Great Western Hospital + Malmesbury Pharmacy Malmesbury Pharmacy + BSW Integrated Care Board Along with regional and local learning events, this comprehensive training programme will support you to develop core skills across an exciting spectrum of areas and specialities within hospital and community pharmacy. This may include dispensary, medical and surgical specialisms, paediatrics, Critical Care, aseptics, Cancer Services, over-the-counter medicine supplies, and a range of other primary care services. Where possible, we aim to provide exposure to other areas like Medicines Information, Public Health, and Mental Health. You will receive a work laptop, allocated study time, and regular one-to-one support from your Designated Supervisor and Designated Prescribing Practitioner, who, along with our exceptionally friendly and approachable teams, will guide your journey to qualifying as a prescribing pharmacist at the end of your training year.
