Won the #1 award — with the #1 people! 😉 Arijit Samal, Matthias Seiler, Tanguy Vansnick and I have teamed up for HackUPC, Europe's biggest hackathon, where we won an MLH award, a sponsor award, and the Grand Prize 🫣 It was 36h of sleep deprivation well spent! The result is Klìnic: an AI-powered platform to offer insights on clinical trial trends in a scoped domain, helping clinicians design new experiments and analyze past failures 👨🏻💻 Interested? 🎉First Hackathon Adventure: Alphabyte 1.0 We have just completed our first hackathon experience, which has been marked by learning, creativity and teamwork. Although we didn’t make it pass Round 1, every challenge along the way has taught us a lot and helped to improve upon our skills. My teammates Aman Yadav Yash Patel shantanu chaubey deserve special appreciation for their support and team spirit. It was a great privilege to go through this inaugural hackathon together turning stumbling blocks into growth opportunities. Code creativity collaboration is what binds us as a unit. This goes beyond being a milestone; it is where all of our future tech ventures will start. #Alphabyte1.0 #GrowthMindset #TeamSuccess #Hackathon

Have you ever thought about what starting from -1 looks like? I bet many people from Africa understand this to a large degree. How then do you build world class products and systems when you have limited to no resources? How do you progress by thinking about what you want to accomplish from first principles? What does applying first principles mean for you? How do you transform linear abilities to exponential results with as little as possible? How do you move into the obstacles and climb up with them? How do you use certain frameworks to get ahead? We'll be discussing these at the next Devfest Ojo-Festac. Want to attend? Register via the link in the comments

My team and I built an AI-assisted meta title and description generator for Webflow in 5 days and won the last hackathon hosted by Fastgen (YC W23). This is how we did it! With only 5 days to work with, I focussed on this. - Resources - Outcomes - Time Resources We were 5 people working on this: * Me - Architect and Creative Director * Vanshika Bharol - Our new designer, who just started working recently with us. * Ram Sharma - Backend Intern who wants to go deeper into DSA. * Himanshu Raj Verma - Our JS expert * ANKIT BOSE - Our Webflow Expert We needed to optimize for time. * Fastgen allowed us to build backends very quickly. It is truly amazing. * We used Webflow for our front end to optimize for speed and responsive design * Vanilla JS to add functionality Stages: - Align everyone so we could work in parallel for better outcomes. - Feature sorting (Must have, Nice to have, could have). This allowed design and backend to be done in parallel. - Wireframing in Figma & Backend on Fastgen - Allowed us to collaborate on data that is needed to be shown and is needed for both design and backend for functionality. - Once wireframes were 70% done, we already had implemented 50% of the backend on Fastgen. - Implement wireframes in Webflow and started integrating with APIs created on Fastgen. - While this was happening, the design was being built out and implemented in parallel since integrations and development were also done in parallel. This allowed us to deliver a working product in 5 days, and we won the hackathon. Got us featured on Time Square. Fastgen (YC W23) and Product Hunt are hosting another hackathon in a week. Let's build something together!
