I pray that I never abuse my position as a leader. I always want my team to follow me out of respect, not fear!! I have worked with many leaders that always used threats to lead, it was never easy because I never felt as though anything I did was good enough. I lead with compassion, trust, and teach right beside. I try to never to openly criticize. I may not always agree with how something is done, but I have to remember, this person may see differently, learn differently, and work differently. as long as the final outcome is what is expected, follows all of the policies, and it works, why should I challenge what was done just because it wasn't done exactly how I would do it? I always try to lead by example, right beside my team. Most days it works for me!
