Our lovely city has been recognised by Architectural Digest as having one of the most beautiful skylines in the world - sixth spot in fact! The undulating bridges that are the Elizabeth Quay Pedestrian Bridge and the Matagarup Bridge add a dynamic to the skyline that caught the judges’ attention, along with the riverside location. For the first time in three years house rents in Perth have been steady over the last quarter and the vacancy rate has eased a little. Dwelling approvals have increased and there is a sense that the property market is now starting to move towards an improved balance between supply and demand. This will take time of course and property sales continue to be achieved in record time, although listing views have declined pointing to a slight reduction in demand. https://lnkd.in/gRCrwME8

From experience, one of the biggest challenges buyers face when justifying prices for new apartments lies in concerns over quality, unit size, running costs, and the overall scale of the development. Focusing solely on cost is a one-sided argument that overlooks these critical issues. Horror stories of defective buildings, insolvent developers, annual Owners Corporation (OC) and maintenance fees exceeding $10,000, and combustible cladding have significantly eroded buyer trust. To fully understand the situation, it’s essential to speak with market participants on the ground and hear their perspectives directly and not solely consider supplier opinions.
