Since the US Supreme Court rejected the use of affirmative action in higher education, its ripple effects have spread across various sectors on programs for racial equity and justice. Simultaneously, communities around the country are facing restrictions related to reproductive choices, LGBTQIA+ rights, immigration, and other issues, but there is NO DATA on what is happening to nonprofits as a result. Spotlight on Inequality: At The Rose International Fund for Children, we're committed to addressing a critical yet often overlooked issue. Studies show that women and girls with disabilities not only face gender discrimination but also endure the added challenges of disability-based bias. Alarmingly, girls with disabilities are frequently forced into early child marriages, a decision made under the guise of 'securing' their future before society becomes aware of their disability. This practice is a violation of their fundamental rights and freedoms. Let's unite in empowering these young women, giving them the voice and choice they deserve. Your support can help us create a world where every girl, regardless of her abilities, has the opportunity to live a life she chooses. Join us in this fight for equality and justice. Donate, share, advocate. --- #giveback #communityservice #supportnonprofits

Ways You Can Support The Change! Witnessing the plight of Congolese children and families, forced into slavery due to genocidal conditions over minerals, deeply moved me. It's a stark reality that millions of innocent souls endure unimaginable hardships while powering the very technology we use daily. Our mission is clear: to provide sanctuary and support for displaced Congolese children while actively advocating for racial justice in Oregon and beyond. The statistics of racial injustice in Oregon, with hate crimes against BIPOC and Asian communities reaching a staggering 74% as of 2023, demand urgent action. Through relocation aid, community-driven initiatives, and fervent advocacy, we are committed to dismantling these unjust systems and fostering racial equity for all. By supporting the Congo Compassion Coalition for Racial Justice, your organization can directly impact the lives of Congolese children, offering them hope, opportunity, and a chance to thrive. Additionally, you'll contribute to the fight against racial injustice in our backyard, standing in solidarity with marginalized communities, and, championing a more equitable future for all. I am deeply committed to this cause and am taking concrete steps to ensure its success Thank you for considering making a difference through the Congo Compassion Coalition for Racial Justice. Your support is invaluable in helping us achieve our mission of providing sanctuary, support, and advocating for racial justice for displaced Congolese children and victims of racial injustice in Oregon. With our 5013c status pending, your donations are tax-deductible, making every contribution count towards positive change. Our goal from March to May 2024 is to raise $22,222 to secure a location and hire three minimal staff members, laying the foundation for our crucial work ahead. We are here to aid against greed & thus would prefer not to start the organization in debt/financing. Thank you for sharing & participating in our vision. To apply for assistance in Oregon, individuals must provide evidence of racial injustice, violence, or hate crimes and demonstrate a need for relocation to ensure their safety. Bipoc & Lgbtqia are encouraged to apply. No one will be turned away without referrals or grants/gifts resources. Applications for assistance will be accepted, and will be issued starting May 2024, based on the availability of funds. In the meantime, individual donations are always welcome and deeply appreciated. To donate, please use PayPal at 22ndcenturyhumans@gmail.com. For sponsorship inquiries or to apply for assistance in Oregon, please reach out to us via email. Thank you for taking action and being the change you want to see in the world. Together, we can make a meaningful difference in the lives of those who need it most. As we work to find safety & liberation for our community in a time of increased violence and discrimination, it is clear that we are continuing our fight alone. Defunding LGBTQIA+ centers is a move towards inequity and is an act of violence as it removes funding from necessary community programs that offer so much to those they serve. Programs that save the lives of those who can utilize them. The bill revokes $3.62 million in funding for three LGBTQIA+ community centers in Pennsylvania and Massachusetts, stating they have programs in place supporting communism, drag shows, and the administration of hormone replacement therapy to young people. As misinformation and purposeful misunderstanding spread we are being asked to again survive despite our government blatantly rejecting the liberation and wellbeing of our communities. This bill, along with the 674 anti-LGBTQIA+ bills that have been drafted this year to date, is violence against our community and highlights the belief that our voices should be silenced and our lives aren't valued. We cannot echo the words of Tandra La Grone enough and stand alongside our community to fight back against bigotry and hatred.
"As the CEO of a leading LGBTQ BIPOC organization, I am deeply troubled by the recent decision to defund LGBTQ centers by banning earmarks for nonprofits. This move not only undermines the critical services that our centers provide to some of the most vulnerable members of our community but also signals a distressing step backward in our fight for equality and justice. Our centers do more than offer services; they are safe havens for those who often have nowhere else to turn. They provide life-saving support such as health screenings, mental health counseling, and housing assistance, which are now at risk due to this short-sighted and discriminatory policy. This is not just an attack on LGBTQ centers; it is an attack on the very fabric of our society that values diversity, inclusion, and the well-being of all its members. We will continue to fight against these harmful policies and advocate for the necessary funding to support all communities without discrimination. We stand together, stronger than ever, committed to our mission of serving those who rely on us."
