5 Years of Performance: HASLE D59Aht in Kiln Inlet Slope.
A cement plant in the Southern part of India, operating 4 production lines on its campus, installed HASLE D59A-ht castable in the kiln inlet slope of Line-3 back in December 2019. This 5000 tpd line, running on 100% pet coke, had previously faced severe coating issues and required yearly refractory replacements in the kiln inlet slope area.
HASLE D59A-ht is a dense, low-cement castable formulated from premium high-alumina raw materials, including andalusite and mullitized bauxitic clay. It offers excellent mechanical strength and good resistance to thermal shock and abrasion, making it a highly reliable choice for high-wear areas like the kiln inlet slope.
Fast forward 5 years: During their annual major shutdown in December 2024, the plant conducted an inspection of the kiln inlet slope. The refractory lining was found to be in good operating condition and is expected to operate for another campaign.
The customer expressed their satisfaction with the performance and is planning to replace the lining with HASLE D59A-ht again during the next major shutdown.
At HASLE, we are proud to see our solutions deliver such reliable, long-term performance and appreciate the opportunity to support our customers with expert guidance as well as supervision during installation.
