Saudi Arabia's long-anticipated Riyadh Metro project is nearing completion, but the exact launch date remains uncertain. Minister of Transport Saleh Al-Jasser, in an interview during the Global Logistics Forum, reaffirmed that the metro will be operational "within weeks." This massive project, poised to revolutionize Riyadh’s transportation infrastructure, has undergone extensive test runs but lacks a firm start date. The project is a key part of Saudi Arabia’s National Strategy for Transport and Logistics, aiming to position the Kingdom as a global logistics hub. Despite previous announcements, many significant projects in Saudi Arabia, including the metro and airport expansions, have yet to clarify launch dates.
