It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that we share the passing of our colleague Alan Sweatfield. After a courageous battle with cancer he passed away peacefully. Alan was not only a coworker, but an incredible friend and mentor to many. Alan spent 40+ years in an industry that he loved. He made a significant impact throughout his career and at Building Controls & Solutions where he spent the last 13 years as part of the BCS Salt Lake City Family. Alan's dedication and drive was unmatched. Alan's quick witted dry humor could make anyone laugh, his story telling could hold your attention for hours, he had a love for archeology and history and loved to share his knowledge with others. Our thoughts and deepest sympathies are with Alan's family and loved ones during this difficult time, we find peace knowing he is no longer suffering and is reunited with his wife and beloved dog. We will miss Alan dearly - 10/25/51 - 7/10/24 Alan had a love for animals and expressly wishes in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Humane Society of Utah in his memory.
A beautiful tribute to our teammate and friend. I loved Alan’s passion for his Utah customers and his zest for teaching people about builing automation and controls. I learned a lot from Alan these past 5 years but I also know his legacy will live through his projects and the people he touched along the way. We will miss you Alan. Building Controls & Solutions
For every small interaction I had with Alan, he always led with compassion, grace and understanding. He was the person who truly sold me on this industry and the good that can come from it. His love for the children deeply aligned with mine and that was my most favorite thing about him. He was a gentle soul who will leave a lasting impact on the community. May he rest peacefully and pain free.
So Sad. My condolences. What a terrific human being. So glad I met him.
Always enjoyed our conversations about life and working with Alan. My deepest condolences to his family and friends. Sad news.
Alan was such a help to me and I learned so much from him. He will greatly be missed.
Very nice tribute for our team member he will be missed
First guy I met when I needed help as newly tech in the Valley. Almost feel like he is gone too soon as I still do not have chance to know the guy. Special Tribute to Alan as a fellow Army Soldier & RIP.
Mes sincères condoléances!
Our hearts go out to Alain's family and his countless friends. His absence leaves a profound void in the hearts of everyone who knew him. He will be deeply missed by the entire Prolon team.
