At HAYES, delivering compliance in an electrical installation, both domestic and commercial, is a core value and enduring ethos of the team. We not only achieve this by having highly skilled engineers, but by also teaching and guiding the next generation into the trade, so they can pass the knowledge forward, in time to come. Having an apprentice is one of the most fulfilling, rewarding and (sometimes) stressful experiences you can have in a work place. But... only by engaging and challenging an apprentice, can you unlock their true potential. If you want a "brew-maker" or "sweeper upper" - then employ such an individual for that role. If you want an apprentice - make the time to be engaging and guide them. In years to come you will see a return on your investment. (They should still make the ODD brew though 👀)

💡IDEA!!!💡Tool manufacturers🛠should start making tools HI VIZ YELLOW so that they can be seen when doing an equipment check before energization?🔥 Thanks for sharing Jason Brozen! I think we can all see ourselves overlooking that. It blends in and there's no contrast. I can definitely see myself overlooking that. It sucks when connections on socket attachments and magnets with attachments are compromised. Cody David Klein Tools Wiha Tools USA Zachary Hoffmann
May is electrical safety month. Apprentice: “ I can’t remember what I did with your 5/16 Allen socket” Electrician: “Found it!” When building electrical services, I always made sure to do about four tool checks before energization. #ElectricalSafetymonth, #WorkSafe, #PPE

Great innovation we're launching, here🔥. A whole platform of comprehensive, free video training for apprentices⚡. It's going to support: * Safer, high quality electrical work in UK homes.🏠 * Development of the next generation of young electricians (crucial, given our aging installer base).👨🔧 * The UK's skills base.📈 * Electrical firms' ability to cater for apprentices, such as those registered with NICEIC.🪛 Great work Luke Osborne MSc MIET, David Powell CertED MIET & Richard Harvey MSET Cert Ed👏.
