ARPEGGIOS #pianobasics 35 Arpeggios is a technique in piano playing that involves playing the notes of a chord individually rather than simultaneously. An arpeggio is a broken chord, where the notes are played in a smooth, flowing manner, one after the other, rather than simultaneously. The word "arpeggio" comes from the Italian word "arpeggiare," which means "to play on a harp." To play an arpeggio, start by placing your hand in a relaxed position on the keyboard. Then, play the individual notes of the chord in succession, usually starting from the lowest note and moving up to the highest Some tips to keep in mind when practicing arpeggios: - Keep your fingers curved and relaxed. - Use a gentle, gliding motion to connect the notes. - Pay attention to finger placement and hand position. - Start with slower tempos and gradually increase the speed as you become more comfortable. Arpeggios can be played in different rhythms and variations, adding a touch of creativity to your playing. They're also an excellent exercise for building finger independence, strength, and dexterity. Happy practicing 😊😊😊 #prosam #pianotutor

New Post: ‘Skate’ wants to be a “world of musical discovery” - https://lnkd.in/gfx-RRhU - EA’s Full Circle studio has shared a new development diary for Skate, with the team wanting the game to become a place of “musical discovery”. READ MORE: New artists talk appearing on the FIFA soundtrack: “It’s validation” Described as the “next evolution” of the Skate franchise, Full Circle’s upcoming free-to-play massively multiplayer game has been designed to “speak to both seasoned players and newcomers alike,“ according to head of creative James Seamaster continued: Speaking as part of the new development diary, he explained that when Full Circle first started developing the new Skate title, they had two goals in mind. “We wanted to build upon everything fans already love about our unique gameplay and connection to skate culture, and invite new players to the world of skate and skateboarding.” This includes a reworked Flick-It trick system which will ensure “every trick feels more fun and satisfying to perform than ever before” while the city of San Vansterdam has its own “weird, rich history and lore” with developers taking inspiration from San Vanelona and Port Carverton. Self-expression is also “core” to Skate, with a number of options for players to customise their character. Developers are also working on a variety of “social features” to improve opportunities for multiplayer gaming. Skate is also set to launch for PC as well as PlayStation and Xbox consoles, with cross-play also available for all. “We believe Skate is for everyone” explained executive producer Mike McCarthy. ”There’s no Skate without music,” explained audio director Matthew Smith. “Music has always been such an integral part of skateboarding culture, from getting you in the zone to bringing groups of people together for a shared experience so we’re curating a soundtrack you’ll love, but won’t remain static either,” he added. “It’ll keep evolving over time.” “We want San Van to be a world of music discovery, where you can come and discover new artists and genres just by skating around the city,” Smith explained, with different districts having their own unique soundtracks. “We want to create a world where everyone can really feel at home and like they belong,” he added. “We’re building a game that can live, grow and evolve over many years,” Salomé Diea, head of product management, continued. While a release date for Skate has yet to be confirmed, Full Circle’s general manager Dan McCulloch said news was “getting closer”, with the studio set to increase the number of Skate playtesters in the coming months. In other news, Zynga Inc. has confirmed the release date for Mobile puzzler Game Of Thrones: Legends. Low Stakes vs High Stakes Working out can be low stakes games, as you are the only person who knows if you have skipped a rep or if you have kept the right body posture for maximum result. Dancing is a high stakes games, as you need to be in sync with the others and you are seen and watched by the other dancers. Dancing is much harder than any other workout because it involves all of your senses in addition to your muscles. It also involves occupying your place fully on the stage. Still, I am baffled to observe that almost 100% of people who try the dance class at my local gym drop out after one or two classes. Some leave in the middle of the class. I used to blame this drop out on what Michael Easter calls the #comfort #crisis, which is a preference for low stakes games, where one does not have much to lose. The uncomfortable thing though about playing only low stakes games is that after a while one starts to suck at them. A form of inner resistance to such games results in all sorts of weird behaviors. What I see at the gym is that one needs at least 20-30% of high stakes games in order to achieve #success and have #fun with what they do. Many thanks to all the #athletes and #dancers for the weekly inspiration.
