“Serpenti is more than an icon; it’s a signature.”
Fabrizio Buonamassa Stigliani, Executive Director of Watch Design at Bvlgari, shares insights into the three-year development of the in-house Lady Solotempo Automatic movement.
Reflecting the Maison’s watchmaking expertise as a “jeweler of mechanics”, the Lady Solotempo includes an oscillating weight engraved with scales, a tribute to the iconic serpenti.
The automatic movement powers new editions of the beautiful Serpenti Seduttori and Serpenti Tubogas timepieces, unveiled to mark the Lunar New Year of the Snake.

The Art of Precision: L.Leroy's Mastery in Complications and Movements
L.Leroy watches are more than just timepieces; they’re masterpieces of precision engineering. Renowned for their intricate movements, L.Leroy has mastered the art of horology by incorporating complex features like tourbillons and minute repeaters. Each complication is a testament to the brand’s dedication to pushing the limits of craftsmanship and design.
At the heart of L.Leroy’s appeal is their ability to blend aesthetic beauty with advanced functionality. A tourbillon, often regarded as one of the most challenging complications to produce, minimizes the effect of gravity on the watch’s accuracy, showcasing not only technical expertise but also an eye for elegance. Their minute repeaters, which chime the time on demand, add an auditory delight that highlights the brand's dedication to detail.
For collectors, owning an L.Leroy is like holding a piece of horological history—one that fuses art, innovation, and precision into each ticking second.

🌟 A Timeless Passion: The Art of Watch Restoration 🌟
As someone who has always been captivated by the intricate craftsmanship and history behind watches, I view timepieces as more than just tools for telling time—they are storytellers, relics of innovation, and reflections of personal journeys. My passion for watches extends beyond collecting; it’s about uncovering their unique narratives and restoring their timeless beauty.
Recently, while traveling in Georgia, I stumbled upon a vintage gem—a 1970s Slava watch. This piece immediately spoke to me, not just because of its age and heritage, but also because of the potential I saw in bringing it back to life.
The journey of restoring this watch was nothing short of incredible. From sourcing the right parts to carefully cleaning and calibrating the intricate mechanisms, every step required patience, precision, and a deep appreciation for the artistry of watchmaking. The satisfaction of seeing the Slava tick again—knowing the effort and care it took—is an experience I hold close to my heart.
The 2414 movement , is one of those tricky movements with a double barrel spring drums.
This restoration project reinforced a simple yet profound life lesson: with time, care, and dedication, anything can be revived and made beautiful once again.
Whether you're a fellow enthusiast or just curious, I'd love to hear your thoughts. Do you have a favorite timepiece or a restoration story of your own? Let’s connect and share our passion for the art of watches!
