JOB (TASK) V SIGNIFICANCE (IMPACT) It's fascinating to compare someone's job with their impact. It's easy to say, "This isn't my job," or "That's someone else's responsibility," to avoid accountability or effort. However, most people want to be seen as important, meaningful, and valuable. Instead of focusing on jobs, we should talk about impact. Consider what impact you want to make and what significance you have. When we discuss our impact on the world, our significance, and our role, the conversation shifts from mere jobs and tasks to something much more profound.

We all face challenges in our careers. But how we view them can make all the difference. But here’s the thing: You don’t have to go it alone. Your peers are a valuable resource. They’ve been there, done that, and they’re willing to help. Don’t be afraid to ask for help when you need it. So next time you’re facing a challenge, don’t be afraid to reach out to your peers for help. You’d be surprised at how much they can help you.

You don't get promoted for doing your job. You get promoted for: - Kicking back more money than expected. - Making a connection in law enforcement - Working well & closely with people outside of your crew - Leading your crew well in an impactful money making initiative - Finding unseen, underlying rats & solving them - Doing a stint for the family Doing your job well is great. It just means you will continue to do that job well. To get promoted, you have to go above. Beyond. Do more than your described job. That doesn't mean hours. It means money. Sometimes your family outlines exactly what that looks like (love those). Sometimes you have to guess (sorry, I hate it, too). Agree?
