🌟 Exciting News from Justice Jackline Mogeni on the Case of Slain Lion Olobor! Justice Jackline Mogeni issued a one-of-a-kind directive regarding the Slain Lion Olobor case filed by American Luis Franco. The ELC judge reiterated the responsibility of every person to conserve and protect wildlife resources. Justice Mogeni opined that since this is a sensitive matter and of global importance, it should be held outside the corners of a courtroom to allow any interested person to participate. Thus, favoring mediation in the form of a community hearing as opposed to courtroom litigation. In her wisdom, the judge directed that the mediation take place at a site where Olobor was allegedly killed. This decision ensures that the proceedings are deeply connected to the heart of the matter. The lion enthusiast community will finally get closure. Most importantly, Olobor will get justice. TREECATION!! (Tree work + Vacation) This week, the Arbor Society addressed a stand of pine which had been afflicted by a pine borer. Our client lost about twenty trees due to this devastating pest. The bigger concern are the remaining trees left around this particular reservoir succumbing to the same fate. This community stands to lose all their pine if actions aren’t taken. We dropped info packets that includes direct information for the DIY’ers in the community since it’s very easy to protect, awareness is the key here. Our client hadn’t been to their cabin in roughly six months, they found half their trees had become unhealthy. With the hazards removed, we can now focus on saving the remaining stand and try to get the word out on how to protect against pine borers. Schmitz Park Creek Restore has identified four areas of concern about the natural environment of Schmitz Park that it will need to address as part of its proposal to restore and protect the Park. We have grouped them under these titles: Fish, Forest, Creek, Cove:  

The Striped Bass is the state fish of Maryland. Advocating for the betterment of it and for conservation is the only thing we can do to preserve it for future generations. Many businesses have been affected by proposed and implemented regulations over the past decade. As Marylanders, today we must make the best effort, to protect our fishery.
