Top Five Things You Need to Know about Linkerd 2.16 The Linkerd team has been hard at work, as always, culminating in the release of Linkerd 2.16! In this Service Mesh Academy, we’ll take a whirlwind tour of all the highlights of this new release. Linkerd 2.16 starts by adding support for IPv6 and dual-stack clusters, as you may have seen in earlier edge releases, and continues with support for the Gateway API GRPCRoute resource! It also now supports configuring timeouts and retries via annotations on HTTPRoute, GRPCRoute, and their parent Services. Last but not least, for major new features, Linkerd 2.16 introduces an audit mode for authorization policy, allowing you to see what would happen with a policy change before you apply it. And, of course, there’s more: Linkerd 2.16 has a host of smaller features and bugfixes, and we’ll hit the high notes there, too.

I'm happy to share that I have created a bare-metal software that can run on TivaC TM4C123, which is based on ARM Cortex-M4. I wrote the startup file, linker script, Makefile, and the main software. I took advantage of the ARM Cortex M family to write the startup code in C language instead of using assembly instructions. I also debugged this simple code using Keil to check it. I used a logic analyzer to check the signal. I generated text files to help you see the headers and disassembly, and a map file to provide more information about my bare-metal software. ✏️ Classes – the #ew24 format to gain deep knowledge on one topic. ➡️ Visit Class 6.9 by Dion Dokter and Tamme Dittrich 📅 Wed, 10 April 2024, 14:00 – 17:30 ➡️ Program and registration: www.embedded-world.eu 𝗘𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗱𝗱𝗲𝗱 𝗥𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗔𝗱𝘃𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗱 The class starts with an explanation of how the embedded Rust ecosystem works and how PACs and HALs work. After that we'll let the participants program their first embedded Rust application where they need to read the ID register of the LIS3DH accelerometer. We'll bring the hardware for them to use, though they cannot keep it. Next are device drivers. We'll cover how they work and how the embedded-HAL crate helps us to write platform independent code. The participants then create their own little driver where they turn on the accelerometer and read out the values. For people who are done quickly, they can extend the driver more and support interrupts. We'll come with two tutors who can help the participants during the two hands-on parts. Learning outcomes: Basic knowledge of what embedded rust is about, how to flash and code on a microcontroller and how platform independence is done. Prior knowledge: It's best if the participant has good modern C++ experience, but it can be followed by C programmers as well.
