***Example of a non-conformance*** While inspecting a site pack for ISO 9001, the auditor found it very difficult to follow and a little messy. Acceptance sampling is an important method used in sampling procedures. It is also an important field of standard quality control where a random sample is taken from a lot, and upon the results of appraising the sample, the lot will be either rejected or accepted. It is also a procedure for inspecting quality of batches without doing 100% inspection. So, acceptance sampling is also known as the “middle-of-the-road approach” between no inspection and 100% inspection. The cost associated with 100% inspection is often prohibitive, and the risks associated with lesser or 0% inspection are very large. #ISO 2859-1:1999 Sampling procedures for inspection by attributes Part 1: Sampling schemes indexed by acceptance quality limit (AQL) for lot-by-lot inspection#

CORRECTIVE ACTION VS PREVENTIVE ACTION! ?️ ✔️Corrective 🔎🚩 Action 🔴According to the ISO 9001:2015 standard: It is a question of dealing with non-conformities in order to eliminate their causes and prevent their recurrence. ⏭️Simply put: Corrective action is like catching the leak in your roof and fixing it – you've stopped the rain from entering! 🚿 ✔️Preventive action 🔍 🔴According to the ISO 9001 standard: This is to deal with potential non-conformities to prevent their occurrence. ⏭️Simply put: Preventative action is like noticing a crack in the ceiling and fixing it before it becomes a leak. This is the "let's fix this before it becomes a problem" approach! 👉Think of it this way: Corrective action is like taking an umbrella ☂️ to protect yourself from a leak and fixing it, while preventative action is about making sure the roof doesn't leak from the start. Remember, in the world of quality management, it's best to fix the roof in good weather!
