2024 was another challenging year for UK businesses as they continued to combat the cyber security threats impacting organisations across all sectors. It is estimated that nearly half of all UK organisations experienced some form of cyber security breach last year, including a major cyber attack on the Ministry of Defence and ransomware attacks on both the Scottish NHS Trust Dumfries and Galloway and Synnovis. National Cyber Security Centre, Ireland (NCSC-IE) publishes Ireland’s National Cyber Emergency Plan The plan sets out the national approach for responding to serious cyber security incidents that affect nationally important systems and networks. The plan outlines the process by which a National Cyber Emergency is declared, managed and co-ordinated.
