🎨 Why Are Museums Choosing Framing Projectors for Art Illumination? 🎨 Museums are increasingly turning to framing projectors for their art illumination needs. Here’s why this technology is becoming the go-to choice for curators: 🔍 Precision Lighting Framing projectors allow curators to direct light exactly where it’s needed, creating a perfect balance between highlighting the artwork and minimizing distractions. 🎯 Customizable Light Shape With framing projectors, the shape and size of the light beam can be adjusted to perfectly match the artwork, enhancing the visual impact without overexposing the piece. 💡 Enhanced Artwork Preservation By focusing light only on the artwork, framing projectors help reduce unnecessary exposure to light, preserving the integrity and longevity of priceless pieces. 🌟 Improved Viewer Experience A well-lit exhibit makes all the difference. Framing projectors ensure that each artwork is presented in the best possible light, enhancing the overall visitor experience. #MuseumLighting #ArtIllumination #FramingProjector #CuratorialTech #ArtConservation #ExhibitionDesign #PrecisionLighting #LightingInnovation #GalleryLighting #ArtworkPreservation #CulturalHeritage #LEDLighting #LightingDesign #MuseumTechnology #ArtExhibition

Great to see my alma mater hosting exhibitions of this type! 🟠 👁️🗨️ The theme of "seeing the unseeable" and the use of data is a theme that defined a solid decade of work at HUSH - from the scale of a poster, to lobby-scale art installations and placemaking. Yet, at this point "data viz" has become aging nomenclature - the result of so much visualization for the sake of visualization itself, not for human impact. 🧠 What's more interesting is how the "seeing of unseeable data" can impact our behaviors, change the way we think, what we feel and how we act. We're rapidly applying these ideas to projects at the scale of airport terminals and mixed use developments. More data, more space, more impact. See some legacy work: 🌞 Turning an organization's commitment to net zero engineering into a sustainability mirror and workplace motivator (https://lnkd.in/eSvVU7_v) 🌐 Using the data of the world's largest mobility organization to inspire guests with scale and impact (https://lnkd.in/ewX33Ynz) 🟢 Using productivity data to change workforce behaviors and influence a new workplace culture (https://lnkd.in/eCZjrfzf)
In modern life, data is so ubiquitous, it's practically invisible — but should it be? ArtCenter’s exhibition Seeing the Unseeable, opening Thursday, brings together 20 years of work from 16 artists + designers at the forefront of using data visualization as a springboard for creative expression and cultural critique. Experience custom algorithms as large-scale installations, the beauty of threatened coral reefs as intricate stitches of crochet, storm systems as suspended titanium cloud sculptures, and much more. Seeing the Unseeable is part of Getty's PST ART: Art & Science Collide, a landmark series of exhibitions in partnership with leading museums and institutions across Southern California. 🟠 Seeing the Unseeable: Data, Design, Art 📅 On view 9/19—2/15, 2025 | Opening Reception: 9/19, 6 PM 📍 Alyce de Roulet Williamson Gallery, ArtCenter, 1700 Lida Street, Pasadena https://bit.ly/3B9yhs4

As we are getting more enquiries about the 48V track system, we thought we share some knowledge with you to help you specify confidently. Here are the 3 most important things you need to know why a low voltage lighting system might be good for your project: - The track is a lot slimmer than the traditional track system, making it look extra slick - It produces a lot less heat, so it is great for museums, art galleries and places with precious art - It can take emergency lighting module, too The 48V track can co-exist with a normal LED installation, so you can have just a section in your project, or the entire project can be low voltage. 1797 SCENES and SPATIALITY -Gautam Shah https://lnkd.in/dQiPkdjG The term scenography is of Greek origin. The sites, places and locations are ‘subverted’ to realistic, indicative, make-believe or even bizarre environments. All places are scenes, and all scenes are spaces. A scene is a static spatial thing, but actions suffuse it with time dynamics. The audience engagement, as an event, was once limited to a fixed position, but the same now, is participatory happening, as in art installations.

🎥 Film Screening: This Planted Place (2022) 📆 Date: Sunday, January 26 ⏰ Time: 12-5 PM 📍Location: Contemporary Calgary, Heather Edwards Theatre In conjunction with Mia + Eric: In a Strange Place, currently on view in the Morris & Ann Dancyger Observatory Gallery, we’ll be showing This Planted Place (2022), an earlier work by the artists, over the course of the exhibition. This Planted Place will be shown on loop in the Heather Edwards Theatre during our opening hours on January 26, as well as a final screening on February 9, 2025. This screening is free with gallery admission. This Planted Place examines the ecological complexities and human and more-than-human relationships in the Heidewald, a small woodland in Maxdorf, Germany. The Heidewald is the largest planted robinia forest north of the Alps. This species is controversial because of its ability to aggressively overtake native species, but it is also an important resource for the region as the annual blossoms attract beekeepers and their colonies from all across Germany each spring. In many ways, the Heidewald is the perfect representation of the idyllic German woodland. But this setting of contemplation is continually disrupted by the human world: chainsaws, airplanes, sirens and a human voice amplified by a megaphone. The Heidewald is a wholly unique landscape, but also a place where questions of global significance can be asked. This Planted Place was commissioned by Matchbox: The Itinerant Art and Culture Project in the Rhine-Neckar Region as part of a multi-year engagement process called 3 WOODS. Mia + Eric. Forthcoming in 2025: "For hours, days, and weeks at a time" explores the methods and means through which environments are captured, compressed, and represented. Using drawing, sound, video, and installation, the exhibition presents a suite of works informed by Martin Beck’s research into environments, a series of eleven vinyl records from the 1970s produced by the Syntonic Research Inc. label that registered the acoustics of nature and meditative sounds with high-fidelity recording technology. Marketed as psychoacoustic experiences with the potential to alter domestic and workspace atmospheres—for listeners to transcend the monotony of bureaucratic space and activity—the records laid the groundwork for an emerging industry catering to the care, efficiency, and control of the self. Beck’s interest in these records is their pioneering role as atmospheric tools for self-optimization within an ever more competitive capitalist setting. https://lnkd.in/ea_Umgx5 Martin Beck equilibrium: Ultimate Thunderstorm, 2023 (Detail) Record cover (environments 4, Syntonic Research, Inc., SD66004, 1976), 8-ply museum board, Plexiglass, fasteners 20 × 20 in. Edition number 1 of 2, plus 1 AP Courtesy of the artist and 47 Canal, New York

One of the strangest facts about lighting that many people don’t know is: Light can damage artwork and artifacts over time. While lighting is often used to highlight the beauty of paintings and artifacts in museums, prolonged exposure to light (especially UV rays) can cause colors to fade and materials to deteriorate. This is why museums typically use special lighting, like low-heat, UV-free LED lights, to protect these valuable pieces. #EgyptEnergy #EnergySolutions #CleanEnergy #SustainableEnergy #SmartLighting #LEDLighting #LightingSolutions #LEDTechnology #EnergyEfficiency #Floodlights #SmartSolutions #LEDInnovation #LightingTrends #ModernLighting #EfficientLighting #LightingDesign #EnergyExhibition #LEDFloodlights #LightUpYourWorld #GreenEnergySolutions
