While working on a client’s project, I noticed that the analysts from the client's side had titles that made them sound like god-tier professionals — you know, Senior Lead Key Director Big Shots. But honestly, their work wasn't as good as what our team was producing. So, I went to the client's product manager and said: — When our analyst handles a project alone, you go over her work with a fine-tooth comb and won't accept even the tiniest mistakes. Meanwhile, your analysts make way bigger errors. Do you even call them out on it? He replied: — I already have those three analysts on the company payroll. They may struggle big time, but still somehow push the project forward. But I chose your analyst, and for the money, I expect top-notch results. Can't really argue with that. But if you think about it from our analyst's perspective, she's doing the work of three, has better skills, and still gets nitpicked for the smallest errors. While if three client-side analysts were on it, everyone would just be thankful they're doing the job at all. OK, enough ranting about the tough reality of agency work for today 😂
