"Research studies show that viewing or touching wooden surfaces can have a calming effect - a great way to reduce anxiety symptoms." 🪵 There's something profoundly calming about wood—it’s like holding a piece of the earth itself, grounding you in the present moment. Whether you’re enjoying a slow morning at a wooden coffee table or letting your feet connect with a hardwood floor, these tactile experiences speak directly to the body’s need to unwind. To learn about how wooden elements can enhance your well-being, check out our featured article, "How Biophilic Interior Design Supports Mental Wellness", in Dayhouse Living magazine! 🌿✨ Photo Credit: Geremia Design #dayhouseliving #biophilicdesign #biophilia #designforhealth #designforwellness #designmagazine #athome #wellness #sustainability #sustainable #selfcare #biophilicarchitecture #designforwellbeing #enjoylongevity #utahhomes #biophilicresearch #healthydwelling #interiordesign #designforwellbeing #interiordesignutah #selfcare #interiordesigner #natureinspired #designforhealth

It’s Time for a Change! 🛋️🌿 Let’s face it—hospitality venues that stick to old design trends are falling behind. Guests expect more than just a place to stay. They're looking for experiences, and if your space is lacking, it’s costing you in satisfaction and repeat bookings. 😕 Imagine a guest walking into your hotel lobby and instantly feeling the disconnect—a dated aesthetic, furniture that feels out of place, and a lack of modern amenities. That "wow factor" is lost, and so is the chance to make an unforgettable first impression. This can mean lower reviews, decreased brand loyalty, and ultimately, lost revenue. 😬 The good news? 2025 is packed with game-changing design trends that not only elevate your space but enhance the entire guest experience. From biophilic design that brings the outdoors in with natural materials, to discreet technology that seamlessly blends into the décor, these trends offer a breath of fresh air. 🌱 Plus, sensorial design engages multiple senses for a truly immersive stay, while curved furniture and soft flooring create a welcoming, modern vibe. Venues with outdoor spaces full of amenities are also scoring major points with guests. And let’s not forget about sustainable solutions—DIY and repair-focused designs show you care about both the environment and your bottom line. 🌍 By adapting to these trends, you’ll not only stay competitive but also create a space where guests feel connected, comfortable, and inspired to return. 💼 #HospitalityDesign2025 #GuestExperienceMatters #SustainableLuxury #BiophilicSpaces #ModernHotelTrends

Have you ever walked into a room and instantly thought, "Yikes! I need to get out of here!"? Something about it makes you feel uncomfortable, and you just want to leave. Maybe it's the bright, harsh lights in a grocery store, the stuffy air in an office, or the messy clutter in a thrift store. It's really sad that so many places we go to choose plain and practical over beautiful and peaceful. We need more feng shui in our lives. Feng shui was a big part of my childhood, and it taught me some important rules that I still follow today: use soft and natural lighting, let fresh air in, arrange furniture in the right way, and keep things tidy to stay organized. As a designer, I believe that having good energy in our living spaces is essential for a happy life. We are affected by the places around us, even if we don't realize it. Our homes should always be a reflection of who we really are. In this bundle, I created helpful diagrams and infographics to enhance the flow in any space. Using the Theory of the Five Elements, you can incorporate shapes, colors, and textures to promote harmony in a given section of your home. This can even be applied to your office, barn, workshop, or studio space for optimal Qi, or positive energy. This bundle is great for interior designers, wellness coaches, spiritual mentors, or real estate agents looking for unique and thoughtful content. Chromotherapy: using colour in the home to boost wellbeing A fascinating concept has been gaining traction in the world of interior design: chromotherapy, also known as colour therapy. This approach harnesses the psychological and physiological effects of colour to create spaces that not only look appealing but also positively influence our mood, energy levels, and overall well-being. By understanding the principles of colour psychology and applying them thoughtfully to our living spaces, we can create environments that are not only beautiful to look at but also support our mental and emotional health.
