Congratulations to Gary Beckman & Karl Androes, whose new book "Strategic Decision Making in the Arts" publishes this month! "Beckman and Androes have filled a considerable gap in the literature on arts entrepreneurship by offering practical, clear, and uniquely relevant case studies centering on the decision-making model: instructors, practitioners, and arts and creative entrepreneurship students will find this book of great value." Nice plug from the publisher of my new book with Gary Beckman. Thanks for the positive quote, James Hart! I hope this book will be everything you say it is for the field you know so well!

2moTerry, Interesting - thanks. Do you agree that there is profound creativity, universally, in industries, such as Science, Engineering, Electronics, Transport, Manufacturing, Medicine, Agriculture, Construction? If so, then why do we highlight creativity in The Arts+ (sector) as The “Creative Industries”, when clearly this creativity (sector) is really a minor source in national/international creativity and added value? There’s a good story about ‘discovering’ the industries engaged in Creativity. But why, like a Flat Earth context, are we fixated on The Arts+ as ‘The’ primary source of industry creativity, when there is so much more (creativity in industries) out there?
