A scheme to reduce flooding in Littleton and Headbourne Worthy north of Winchester aimed at protecting homes and reducing the risk of flooding on local roads in future years, is making steady progress and is on track for completion by the end of this year. Find out more about the project here: https://lnkd.in/eBZeh2fr This is an example of our work with the Environment Agency local districts and borough councils, and other key agencies to develop schemes that help to manage the impact of flooding on our communities. Since the widespread groundwater flooding that took place 10 years ago, we've also completed major flood alleviation schemes in Buckskin, Farringdon, Hambledon, Romsey and Winchester. With shifting weather patterns, including wetter winters, flooding is more likely in the coming years, which is why as part of our #HantsFloodAware we're encouraging people to report flooding so we can build a picture of which areas are most at risk and find ways to reduce the impact: https://lnkd.in/erknm_U3
