Stumbling upon insights about words that mimic AI-generated content is always a thought provoker. The piece highlights, "Many words function to make human writing appear more ‘AI-like.’" It's interesting how language evolves in response to technology and reader expectations. Build-in-Public #08 - Prompting solved! The trick? Be nice to your AI! I've been struggling to get AI to generate decent content from a predefined input = a 6,000-word transcript of a client interview. The aim is to generate a batch of content with little or no human intervention. Saves everyone time, money and effort = is the aim of AI right? And I think I've done it! Late last night, I finally wrote a prompt that spewed out a very decent 600-word blog. 8 good paragraphs based on the transcript - No repeats, - No hallucination, - Not too many buzzwords. And the best part? PROOF! I was able to tweak the prompt with a different focus and generate a completely new blog that did NOT repeat the first one. And from my vague recollection of scientific proof, the best way to validate a process is to be able to run the process at least twice, right? Bo Boom! (Oh, did I mention that we were able to also produce two matching LI Posts plus corresponding carousels..... so that's 6 pieces of content generated by AI but based solely on the clients input.) Content has been sent to client for review. Fingers crossed they like it. Stay tuned. #TechnologyWordsmith #Editing #GhostWriting #LoveYourAIcontent ———————————— 👨💻 I’m Willem Popp Technology Wordsmith "Content Studio" founder Click my name + Follow + 🔔 —————————————

I don't know who needs to hear this. (. . .but I'll say it either way) "RESPECT YOUR CLIENT'S WISHES." When you're writing a blog for a client, make sure you follow what they want. It doesn't matter: → if you don't like the theme. → if you don't like a "wording". → if you disagree with a format. If your client specifically asks you to stick to a tone, language, format, or wording - it's your job to get it right. As of today, I've come across so many writers who also happen to love 'redundancy.' Talking about benefits in multiple sections? → Create just one section for it. Talking about a controversial topic? → Add a credible source to believe. Make it easy for readers to stay in loop. Make it a digestible, readable, and intuitive - because, AI can replicate 'information', not 'ideas'. So, go - make people want you as a writer. P.S. What's the worst thing you have noticed as an editor?

‘Kill your darlings’ is what good editors tell writers because they know, as so many writers do not, that editing is the secret behind all good writing. When a highly educated Master of the Universe told Business Writing Academy that their company has no need to train its staff “...because we can use AI for all that...” the alarm bells were loud and clear. If your company is smart enough to use AI to generate content, your clients are smart enough to know that your comms are written by AI and not your people. And that will be the end of that relationship. Smart people use AI to start their writing when they’re stuck, to save time, to spot trends and to raise their game because it helps. Because they’re smart they then ask others to edit their work or, if no-one is available, walk away for a while and self-edit without feeling or sentiment. Their darling words and phrases may well have to die as an act of mercy for all concerned. Business Writing Academy https://lnkd.in/gpHu5K4d
